Any computer experts out there?
« on: January 27, 2013, 09:04:04 pm »

Hello bay 12, I have recently "upgraded" from windows 7 to ubuntu, but apparently I was not thinking that it would delete all my files. So are they gone forever or is it possible to recover them? thanks

Unless you still have a partition with Windows on it somewhere, then yes, all your files are gone.

It did tell you if you paid attention that it would reformat during the install.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

if you read the instructions there are 3 options to install ubuntu on your computer
1. Repartition/format: dedicate disk space for the OS or take over the drive
2. Sidealong install: makes a virtual drive file within windows
3. Advance: i doubt you even touched that.

if you formatted your disk you basically removed the windows filesystem and you wont be seeing that no matter what you do.
