"As you wish. Besides, that would be a good idea to send all of our forces. My skeletons can help, if you require it."

Turning to face Detani, Jim shrugs his shoulders.
It's up to you as far as I'm concerned.  Dying isn't a very nice prospect but I'm sure there is plenty we could accomplish here.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

"I don't think you will need them, its just peasants that we need to round up, in case they prove to be stubborn. And the skeletons will prove useful. Lets go."

Set out to meet with Roland, taking Jerik and Flint with me once they are ready.

"We could easily sneak out. This looks like a skeleton crew..." Detani says this, obviously, lowly. "It's up to you. Are you able for this?

-----------------
Known Locations:
-----------------
Suomi has been abandoned. Its people fled in the dead of winter to any nearby town.

Norvak A town approximately 400 people large. It seems to be primarily focused on cattle. But it is growing rapidly due to an influx of refugees. It is defended by a small fort garrisoned by veterans of the King's Army. It is affiliated with Welnshire.
Apparently has the Plague.

Vis Valdi is a small fishing village on a river, somewhat northeast of Suomi. It might encompass all of 100 people. The people there live quiet lives, untroubled by most. Adventurers stop there frequently, traveling eastwards into the Wilds. The locals are somewhat standoffish.

The Tower, is ramshackle and old. It possesses few amenities currently. Your best guess is its still an unknown location.

Note, all resources/items are placed in the Tower Stocks unless declared otherwise.

Spoiler: Tower Stocks (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Tower Forces (click to show/hide)
-----------------
Events:
---
Patrizio, Jerik, Flint
The three of you gather supplies, and your forces, leaving the modest compliment of zombies at the tower for defensive purposes. The journey is mostly uneventful. [4] Briefly you got the feeling you were being watched, but nothing came of it. You reach Roland and Helfd near Vis Valdi, and may now prepare your battle plans.

---
Roland, Helfd
The two of you kill time waiting for Patrizio to join you. You stay out of sight and recon the village. [?] The populace seems very guarded. Though from what you hear of Vis Valdi that seems natural. They do not seem prepared for battle in the slightest. Though there seems to be a lot of work being done in and around the town.

Patrizio has arrived, leading Jerik, Flint, a pair of golems and a throng of unarmed skeletons.

---
Sholan
[3] [2-1] Try as you might, these newcomers are very very weak. And they are unable to grasp your teachings. This path will take time, and good fortune. You quietly muse to yourself that a library might have been incredibly helpful to have right about now.
A putrid odor starts to fill the tower. Tracking down the source you discover the human bodies in the storeroom are beginning to rot.

---
Detani, Jim
The two of you decide to accept Commander Clark's threat and agree to abide by the terms of the quarantine should you enter Norvak. He grunts in response and waves you out of his command tent.

That done, you are escorted to the edge of the quarantine zone and allowed to enter the city proper. Which you do.
[3,6] You wander through the town and what is going on here is obvious. The plague has ravaged this town. People lie dead in the street or convulsing weakly. Many buildings are boarded up from the inside, and several from the outside as well. You see almost no one who can walk under their own power. The very air is pungent with the heavy smells of death and fire.

Jim, you can feel some magical pressure here inundating the air and pushing against both yourself and Detani. You manage to keep it at bay for now. It could be the plague attempting to gain purchase, but it seems for now at least you are resistant to it, whatever it is.

Events in Near Proximity:

Spring flourishes throughout the land.
Further Catacomb exploration is Dangerous

Sholan brought the minions to the store room for a little cleaning, and learning, duty.

"Hands on lesson time, boys!", Sholan announced, "It smells in hear and I don't really want to deal with the complaints of others about it later. Each of you pick a corpse or two, whatever you think you can handle. Try your luck"

Let them do their damnedest, prepare for the worst with whatever remaining shambling dead remain in the tower standing guard outside the storeroom. If all goes well, raise a handful myself

As he saw the group approaching, Roland smiled for the first time in days and got up. He had set up a small camp in the woods, far enough from the town to avoid wandering eyes, and it looked quite miserable, as he had not made a single camp fire.

"About time! If I'd known you'd take this long, I wouldn't have gone so early! Who did you bring, Patrizio, and what's your plan?"

"Plan is simple. We must make sure that no one will get away and warn others and that no one who will come after will escape to tell what happened. The village must be surrounded with a strong perimeter and at least two mages will lead the perimeter forces. The rest of us goes in.We want to avoid killing people without necessity, which is why we will kill those opposing us and the rest will be herded into the center of the village. from there we will pick out slaves, craftsmen or test subject, depending on what our current need is. Of course we will loot the place too. Afterwards we leave a guard here in the village to make sure no one comes snooping around."

Patrizio looked around the gathered men.

"Any volunteers for perimeter work?"

Roland shrugged and spoke again.

"My ghouls aren't too big on the whole 'prisoners' thing, and I fight better when there aren't any of you to get in my way. I'll take them to the opposite side of the village; if you do your work well and don't send the entire town down on me all at the same time, no one will get through on my side. And, needless to say, I suggest you don't send any of the prisoners too close, either. Those things can be a bit willful when they start smelling blood."

He looked around, his eyes questioning.

"Think we'll need somebody else to maintain a perimeter on the other side of town? It's unlikely that anything will flee in the direction you're coming from, but you could miss people. In any case, you might need a lot of mages to punch through  that town. They don't have any more defenses than usual, but I think you'll find they can bite as much as they bark."

Every once in a a span of what seemed like years Helfd offered his opinion with mroe than a simple grunt.

I find that busting kneecaps is quite efficient to destroy a lot of aggressive behaviour. Without their legs people usually lose the will to fight.

Patrizio looked at Helfd with surprise. So the man did talk after all.

"That is as true as anything. I suppose your idea is good Roland ,you can keep hgouls in perimeter and tear any people trying to escape to pieces. Helfd will keep a rear guard of our assault, if anyone tries to run past us. We have golems so we will break their resistance head-on. Unless anyone has any other ideas, I think we are ready, more or less. Jerik, Flint?"
