I think the whole "no escaped lunatics" rule is pretty stupid, to be honest. You don't have to give the game to the first person to ask for it, you're not bound by contract, just do whatever you want.

Double check topic title.... First come first serve, if we allow escaped lunatic anybody who simply want to grab the game will be allowed to have it? With the no escaped lunatic rule at least it rule out those who are not part of the community, because let be honest, its for the community and if you are not involved in a community can you be a part of the said community?

That's not what I meant. I mean to say it should be the one giving something away who decides who gets to take it, if they want to give it to an Escaped Lunatic I don't see why that would be a problem.

Oh sorry i misunderstood then. Its just a general unofficial rule that we all use up in giveaway to avoid bot/spammer/greedy guy.

am i the only who finds the no casual conversation rule bothersome? i mean, people are camping the thread to hound up freebies and are complaining that not every other post is a give-away? that our idle chit chat is getting in the way of their leeching to the point that post are being reported? if that's the case, i'll be happy to see this thread sink to the bottom for lack of activity.

I'll say it nicely before someone says it nastily. You've got the premise of this thread backwards. People offer games and first person to claim it gets it, you don't just come in and ask for games you want.

Honestly it does but in this case it was because of well... trolls.

Which is odd for Bay12games. I mean there are always a few people who derail but this is multiple accounts.

This was a social experiment and while I am glad that it brought cheer to many, it seems that a few are just determined to pull at the loose threads until it unravels.
