Who....who left an armor stand outside? what..I dont....what...WHO MADE THE ENTRANCE? WHO MADE THE DEPOT? WTF IS THIS? The entrance where the merchants enter isn't large enough for their wagons.....WTF are our dwarves AMISH? Do they not believe in anyone using "them fancy wheeled contraptions"? SOMEONE EXPLAIN.

All the workshops are lumped together....the Hospital (I know its a hospital, because there is a single traction bench) has absolutely no consideration for layout, I thought it was a barracks until I saw it had a single traction bench....the dining room is similarly unimpressive.

We have a well...and unless I have a serious misunderstanding of the concept, it is intended to have water below it. Ours does not.
While our well is dry, we are not devoid of water, OHOHO NO WE ARE NOT. In fact, we seem to have an entire FLOOR dedicated to giving our dwarves a nice place to splash around, as there is a hallway that leads to nowhere and on the side is a DOWNWARD SLOPE that reveals the river running underneath. WTF guys? Oh so THATS where the farms are....

And to top off the clusterfuck, THE CAVERNS ARE COMPLETELY OPEN, AND THERE *ARE* GCS DOWN THERE, I SAW THE WEBS.

SO SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT IN THE FORSAKEN BEARDLESS ABYSS IS GOING ON HERE? IS IT ELF DRESS UP DAY AS WELL?

(yes I am just busting your balls, but seriously theres like 6 TWENTY floors of open cavern wtf?)

Well starting the actual update now...I know the backstory, but do we still get any migrants? if so I plan to use one of them as my dorf.

Desperately searching for the lever to open the main bridge and fix up that crazy depot issue.
It is not on the same level, nor the one below, will continue the search.
Or the one below that....also WTF is with the way those tunnels are made? Were you trying to make new caverns? So you could fill them with deadly creatures and not block it off? Actually, that sounds like a megaproject....

Oh...the bridge is ALREADY open, and apparently has no lever....probably because it is TWO TILES THICK, and the goblins could probably bunnyhop over it if it was raised, also this makes it appear closed when it is very much NOT.
I will rectify this problem never, and leave it for the next person to deal with, as seems the custom.

And MORE annoyances....my keyboard now registers the shift key as the up arrow for no apparent reason....If the fate of dwarfkind were not at stake, I would burn this fort, I would burn it to the ground...then I would burn the ground, and then the next z-level of ground until I got to semi molten rock that could burn the rest for me.

Finished laying the plans to wall off the caverns, and what do you know, apparently the only person in the fort with masonry enabled...IS THE COOK.....and everyone else, nevermind.
Anyway, better go make sure they aren't walling themselves out with their ass hanging tantalizingly in front of a Cave Spider.

A kobold thief has arrived? Whoop-de-fuck, I don't care, he can take what he wants as long as he doesn't touch the booze.
STOP BEING INTERRUPTED BY THE THIEF! IF YOU IGNORE IT, IT WILL GO AWAY.
Also because I got bored of watching them construct walls...or rather trying to FIND them when they do, they suspended the construction of one....if its the GCS, I'm unleashing hell, I don't care, fuck webs.

Spring hit, I assume I'm getting till next year though, because Medkit ended in Winter. Anyway, there is your update till I get continue confirmation so have fun.

No, we don't. Raise your children! They are the only hope of dwarfkind.

Gate lever was (IIRC) in-between diniig hall and hospital.
Also, tame GCS! It's great in taking down thieves, if chained at the passage.

Hey you take a morning job and see how much energy you have for the rest of the day.
Also, damn now I have to take one of our own dwarves and just pretend they just arrived...ah well...

let me RP that for you

I had a worst dream in my short life. There were glowing NOTHING and thousands of thousands dwarves there, trying to talk to me. You can imagine how much noice they made!
They all begged and ordered me to rebirth the Dwarven Nation, but they could not argee on the way it should be done. Ones were talking about mighty castle, others about highly-techological defences, thirds about richness and prosperity... Oh, I couldn't say a single word! And after I woke up, I had a feeling that this won't end so easy.
Now I need to do something, just to shut them up. At least a part of them - it's impossible to fulfil all of their requests!
