IT HAS BEGUN! (Also sorry for double-post)

Journal of Medkit Daselgusil, The Third Overseer of Cheesefurnace
The 2nd of Granite, year 172, Early spring.
When I came to this fortress to work as a miner, I never expected expected to be anything but that, a miner. But as experience shows, something that you never expect almost always happens. For example, I never expected I would hook up with our great expedition leader, bookkeeper, broker and manager Volfgarix. I also never expected that on one faithful after-harvest-party morning, I would find an Overseer badge sewn onto my chest...
When I came into Volfgarix's office for questioning, all he told me was that Peregar stepped down from the position of fortress overseer in order to become our fortresses full-fledged blacksmith, and that I was the only (unconscious) person who he could trust with this burden. After that he gave me some documents and a map of the fortress he drew himself and told me to get to work...
Well...I guess I should get to work!

Journal of Medkit Daselgusil, The Third Overseer of Cheesefurnace
The 4nd of Granite, year 172, Early spring.
After finally looking over all the documents I decided to visit Silver in our make-shift hospital. Before entering the hospital I was stopped by our Chief Medical Dwarf, who complained that we didn't have any medical equipment in the hospital which is why Silver is still laying there with a broken arm, I took notes and proceeded to talk to Silver. He told me that apparently he lost his iron spear in the cave and would really like to get it back, I told him I would get right to it and left.
I got my trusty pick and a mason and proceeded down into the cavern. As I was mining out the rock to get to the pick, I heard a loud roar in the cave...I quickly mined out the pathway, got the pick and ran upstairs while telling the mason to block out the path with a diorite wall. He did it just in time before the Forgotten beast got us.

Journal of Medkit Daselgusil, The Third Overseer of Cheesefurnace
The 4th of Slate, year 172, Mid-spring.
Decided to mine out 4 more rooms in case migrants show up. Also after 2 years our animal trainer has finally received a proper building and place to train animals!

I also ordered our miners to go to the deepest levels we mined to and start the search for adamantine (nobody wanted to come so I went down there myself).

The 5th of Slate, year 172, Mid-spring

Somebody will receive an adamantine pick tomorrow.

OOC?: Sorry for the F-ed up images and stuff, today was my first time doing lots of stuff like uploading images and using forum commands. The rest of spring was uneventful, will post summer some time later.

Animal training comes in training zone, not building.

I kinda know that. I just think that the trainer really appreciates having the kennels  nearby.

Considering the amount of goblin snatchers and ambushes, we are actually doing quite amazingly. We only lost one stupid baby to a snatcher. Now that I have my mouse back(long story), I can post the summer, autumn and half of winter summary in about an hour.

Hello, I'm after Child of Armok.
If they don't show please send me a PM (I have issues keeping track of things otherwise)
Also send one if they do make it and their turn gets finished. (Seriously, I'm forgetful :P)
