I was wondering how long it would take to stop skirting around that particular elephant.

...

Obviously they can improve morale. By, uh, cooki- wait, no, that's what camp followers are for. Don't avert stereotyping with more stereotyping. I know! They boost ratings and draw in a larger audience by adding romance subplots to the political intrigue and swordplay. No, that's the wrong medium... I've got it! They make playing a female character outside the context of WOO DIFFICULTY less of a special-snowflake build.

Pretty sure it's nothing of that implied nature. I'm thinking it's...I don't know. Again, probably not that.

Allowing female mercenaries lets you hire Xena wanabees (minus chakaras).  Basically, allowing female mercenaries increases the chances of being able to recruit powerful mercenaries (they're far better than standard M&B mercs).

So unless you don't want to see skin (again, Xena wanabees dress for the part, but no nudity), might as well keep them.

So basically it's a cardboard excuse for chainmail-bikini fanservice? Eh, I don't care either way, then.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So many skills! Some of them are not self-explanatory! Ask me what a skill does and I'll tell you! And then you tell me how many points you want to put into it!

Name: Aema Maun (We're playing a female character, and a generator happened to throw this up. Call me a sucker for punnery.)

Weapons: 2H, Archery.

Attributes: Unless something is drastically different in this mod, put all of the free ones into STR and AGI, and keep doing so until they're all relatively equal, then try to keep them that way.

Initial skill point distribution:
What does Defensive Tactics do? If it's any good, put a point into it.

2x Weapon Master
1x each Looting, Horse Archery, Tracking, Training, Spotting, Toughness, Trade, Prisoner Mgmt, Persuasion.

If DT isn't worth it yet, drop the last point into First Aid.

I've run a few LPs, and I can relate.  It either seems that I'm eager to go, but the community is mostly silent, or I'm no longer interested, but the community seems intrigued.

The best LPs seem to go at the pace of the person running the show.

You wait around until you get impatient, then go.  As for skills, this mod is a little different, so I'll just generalize my thoughts: Go combat skills.  Both the troops you can recruit and your avatar suck at combat, and you don't get to negotiate with the nobles in the game, so you really need the combat skills to level the playing field.  In this mod, when I say combat skills, I mean the skills that boost the abilities of your troops and yourself, many of which use intelligence and charisma for their caps.

And pathfinding.  Lots of pathfinding, as you're basically going to be running away *A LOT*.

I'm eager to see you play this mod.  My experience with it is quite limited, so I'm hoping you can show us some of the ins and outs.  I'm particularly eager to hear about the cannons and those Mecka.

Okay, wait. I've watched some footage of the whorecenaries in B&S. Dear god leave them out, the neon armor burns my eyes!

Sorry, no dice! (snicker snicker pun) The power of democracy has declared that we will leave everything, including the whorecenaries, on!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Say hello to the lovely lady, Sledge Meatpound! Since I had much more points left over than I should have after following the requests of the most popular sheet, I made an unholy combination of the other sheets.

What, if any, changes should I make to her appearance?

Meh, looks horribly freakish and deep in the Uncanny Valley. Perfectly normal for a M&B character, then. Leave it be.
