The large flat structures on the front and sides are radiators (some of which can be retracted during combat to protect them). There are a lot of ornamental features that function as protection from impacts due to their distance from the relatively narrow central compartment of the ship. The actual part that most of the crew are in is much smaller than the ship itself.

[1] You carefully examine the weapons your mini-selves are equipped with, but remember nothing about them. The mini-selves pick up their weapons and drop them to the floor. The weapons slowly melt into puddles on the floor.

[5] The background noise is coming from all around you. You cannot seem to get a good focus on it, as it is disconnected from the reality you are perceiving at this time. It continues to repeat itself regularly as you try to influence it as you would in a lucid dream. Eventually, the noise stops and disappears entirely, but something else happens... The entire structure of the dream shifts. The little hallways etched into the floor shift around to form tessellating forms resembling the elevator map of Russano's ship! Your mini-selves disappear into a mess of static and fuzzy blurs as they form into newer versions of yourself, wearing the light-green and gray jumpsuit typical of the ship's crew.

Caellath, AKA Russano Neskratt

Already having something in mind, you use the rest of the time you have to try and mimic what you saw the Guard Captain from the station do when she mimicked your electrical powers.
Holding out your arm, you try and force a field of lightning to manifest at a distance from your arm. The newly-created arcs of electricity gently fluctuate in the air currents and crackle as they leap out randomly at nearby objects. A crewman standing across the bridge suddenly yelps in pain, and starts pressing on his hair as it starts releasing smoke.
The swirling mass around your hand looks very similar to what the guard captain created. However, as you toss a small pen from the drawer at it, the electricity immediately leaves its bubble form and violently strikes the pen, vaporizing part of it and spraying ink on the floor.

At the end of your practice, and as the others start arriving in the bridge, you receive a very strange message back from Ryan:

The message file itself seems to be absolutely massive in size... four hundred megabits! Most of what you see rendered on the screen is interspersed with random strings of characters and line brakes.

Unholy_Pariah, AKA Kenjaro

You climb out of the elevator and enter through a pair of doors to the bridge. This room consists of a railed platform over a vast chamber with walls covered in screens depicting the vastness of space as viewed by the ship's exterior cameras.
Various crew members are at their posts, monitoring communications traffic and analyzing sensor data. A mass of bright blue dots in the air (presumably formed by a glowing emitter below) takes the form of a globe filled with various lines and curves simulating gravity wells and navigational routes.

Russano is at the globe, holding a red-hot fountain pen with its tip blasted off. You see bubbling ink spilled on the floor in front of him.

HEN, AKA Dominic Zoshan

You greet the crewman, who slowly turns around, revealing a tablet in his hand.
"Could you hold on a moment? I'm trying to reform Rome here."

The elevator stops at the bridge level, and you walk out. The crewman stays inside. You see Russano standing there after what appears to be an accident involving a fellow on a computer with his hair on fire and an exploding pen.

Now Ryan had no idea what was going on anymore... but the urge to figure out what's going on is still there.

Since this is a map of the ship... try to focus on where my room would be at on the ship. Again use my powers to do the focusing, since it seems whatever is happening responds to that...

Russano raises an inquisitive eyebrow at the message received.

You take a closer look at where your room is on the ship. Inside the corresponding position in the floor, you see a tiny version of yourself that is not like the others. Instead of walking around, it is merely sleeping in bed, turning over a few times. As you further observe that part of the floor, it becomes more and more like the real thing, and you start to perceive the room itself in its entirety, with all of your things and all of the appliances there and running. Your communicator is sitting on the desk, its screen flashing violently for some reason. It starts to beep, and at this point you realize that the beeping from the communicator is the same noise you heard before inside your head.

Unholy_Pariah, AKA Kenjaro

[5] You succeed at standing off to the side and showing a look of disapproval on your face as the crewman struggles to control the burn.

Russano and Dominic both rush over to help extinguish the fire, now much more than a tiny ember.

HEN, AKA Dominic Zoshan

[5] You dash in heroically to help put out the flame. Having no water with which to douse the flame, you instead search around for the bridge's fire extinguisher. Despite literally walking past the fire extinguisher on the wall when you entered the room, you forget this fact in the heat of the moment and instead grab the closest source of liquid water you can find--the bottle of whiskey in Russano's hands!

You heroically tear the cork out of the bottle with your teeth and, raising it high, pour out the expensive beverage over the crewman's flaming scalp.
The alcohol from the drink ignites and bursts into flames, snuffing out the oxygen in the air and putting out the flame on the crewman's head! Problem solved!

Serendipity: Miraculously, you escape the fireball unharmed and still looking smooth! While the same cannot be said for the crewman, he is better off having minor burns and looking awful for a day rather than losing a full head of hair and most of his scalp, you think.

Caellath, AKA Russano Neskratt

Your communicator can't seem to send a message to Ryan's anymore. Checking the connection map using your network tool, you find that Ryan's device is no longer connected to the ship's wi-fi.

You... aren't quite sure how to react to Dominic's questionable display of heroic audacity.

Ryan now understood what's going on... he's having a dream that's being heavily influenced by his psionic powers... Still... this could be useful to practice... being able to control his abilities even while unconscious.

Direct my powers to stop the beeping of my communicator... then try to figure out why it's beeping... probrably since I got a message, but I want to try reading and finding out through my powers.

"...We will compensate the victim of these victims soon. For the moment, I have to discover what exactly is going on with Mister Ryan. In case I don't return shortly, consider this a possible case of invasion by hostile parties." Russano says, standing up and giving another look at the mildly burnt head of the crewman, now also covered in very expensive alcohol, before heading out of the bridge to check on their unresponsive companion.

Go check on Ryan's room.

"Well, now that that is done with, do you mind explaining how the crewman got his hair lit on fire?"

Ask the crewman for information.

You take control of the communicator, gaining full control over its systems. The various functions and commands running through the device's kernel are apparent to you, and you have the ability to alter every one of them. However, the device is currently having problems with memory corruption and, as such, it cannot function properly without being rebooted. You attempt to reboot it, but the device won't interpret any command given to it properly. You have no way of physically disconnecting it from its power source, and as such cannot make any actual changes.

You spot a miniature Russano walking through the halls outside your room, he opens the door and starts to look at you and the communicator on the desk.

Caellath, AKA Russano Neskratt

You make your way to the cabins, where Ryan said he was going to take a nap. As you walk through the halls, the lights flicker at odd intervals. As you near Ryan's room and open the door, all of the hall cameras quickly snap to face you, and the lights flicker more quickly than before.

Ryan is in his zero-G bed, still asleep. His communicator is currently attached to its dock on the plastic desk bolted to the wall. Its screen is flashing brightly with different colors and is unresponsive to input.

Unholy_Pariah, AKA Kenjaro

Russano walks past you and exits the bridge, leaving you confused. You weren't expecting an emergency situation. Perhaps you can make use of your time with the bridge crew, though. Dominic asks a nearby fellow about the events that just transpired, while you shift your focus on the glowing orb floating the the middle of the room.

The orb displays several astronomical objects in blue, with red waves emanating from spacecraft and the Van Buren station. Some of the stars depicted on the "background" also seem to be flashing red. Harry North walks in from behind and begins to say something, but then stands still in awe at the display you are observing.
"My... that looks amazing. What do the red waves mean... wait a minute."
He consults the first mate, who is standing aside, typing furiously on his communicator. Chief Officer Astley tells him that the red waves are transmissions and that the group of crewmen in the back-left of the room (all wearing headphones and staring at their screens) are decoding them as they speak.
"Do you mean... the red transmissions are hundreds, if not thousands of years old?"
"More like a few decades. Most of them are news broadcasts, late distress signals, and occasionally leaked political information, depending on what group sent it."

HEN, AKA Dominic Zoshan

A woman sitting at her computer desk tells you that Russano was testing his powers, and that something went wrong. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. The ceremony would have to be conducted later, so the rest of the crewmen were focusing on monitoring transmissions and checking sensors.

Well... atleast it seems quite possible to control things as long as he's sleeping... and probably if there is cameras around to see through. Still now would be a good time to wake up... since Ryan can't see any use in continuing this... plus looking at himself... seems he's not getting a whole lot of rest.

Attempt to wake up now.

"if the transmissions are so old what is the point of decoding them?"

The first mate stood momentarily perplexed. He was ready to parrot the reasons given to him by his superiors, but there were a lot of explanations he could procure for this foreigner.
"Most of these transmissions are definitely no longer useful. However, you never know what they might contain. The Freelancer's Union, for example, occasionally broadcasts its libraries across the galaxy for all ears to hear. If you don't know who they are, the Freelancer's Union is known for encouraging government transparency, leaking corporate documents, and exposing corruption. Once it gets out, you can't really stop radio waves. These transmissions act as a form of storage that can't be sabotaged or raided by certain parties.

Well, that is one use for decoding the messages. There's others, too. There are colonists sent out a very long time ago, who are only just just arriving after many thousands of years. If we want to give these people assistance, we first need to figure out what sort of encoding they are using, and if they speak English or a different, non-universal language."
