Write up an accounting quota of all the police department's resources using data I got from observing them. Realize that due to budget cuts, the police have actually stolen this van and do not own it. Dial my lawyer and demand to be set free. Do all of this with my feet.

Turn 4

Try to find a way out.
[3] - Jailbreak!

((Goddamnit!))
sleep until I stop getting shitty rolls.
[1 + (-1) = 0] - You... You’re tired... Your brain is telling you it’s time for sleep... Your eyes droop, lopsidedly. You hardly notice as the corner of your mouth dips into your own blood. A breeze passes, and the meadow grasses weaves one last wave goodbye.

---

“God damnit,” replies Dr. Kevlak. “We only had enough stable prototypes for five people, and I still let him do it...” Dr. Kevlak was holding the body of Taric with both hands. Dr. Kevlak looks at one of the other scientists. “Are you sure there’s nothing we can do for him?”

“I’m afraid not, doctor. It appears that either the alpha was faulty or that his body rejected the tRaNsporGer. It’s still not clear which it is, but my guess is the latter, as the test studies appear to go along with it. So, you don’t have to blame yourse-”

“THEN WHO THE HELL SHOULD I BLAME?” Kevlak screams back. “Maybe you don’t truly understand what dying is like, but you don’t just treat someone’s life like a fucking accident. Maybe I don’t know him, but he died under my supervision. That means I killed him.”

The other scientists cautiously continue working. Kevlak quickly takes a look at the other scientist’s name tag, the one that talked back. Thomas Jamieson. New.

The scientists begin proper body disposal procedure. They’d have to cremate him, and then Kevlak knew he’d have to send a letter to his family. The police wouldn’t get involved, though. They’d made sure to stay away from people with important connections. He catches sight of the Dr. Jamieson again, wheeling the body off.

“Excuse me, Dr. Jamieson.” Jamieson’s face flushes as Kevlak calls his name. “How fast can you get another one of the pods made?”

Jamieson visibly relaxes a bit. “There’s already two more under construction. They should be done soon.”

“...Good.” Dr. Jamieson takes this as his cue to continue wheeling the body toward the crematorium.

Good?

---

Taric Harn the Unlucky: Died from severe brain hemorrhaging trying to gain psychic powers.

Find bread. Find ducks. Find bench. Feed ducks.
[4] - You manage to find a baker among the vendors and manage to convince him to donate a little bread to your duck fund with the help of your grandchildren.

Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of ponds and ducks. And it’s getting dark. You’re pretty sure it’s also getting very... quiet.

Write up an accounting quota of all the police department's resources using data I got from observing them. Realize that due to budget cuts, the police have actually stolen this van and do not own it. Dial my lawyer and demand to be set free. Do all of this with my feet.
[4 + (1) = 5] - Jailbreak!

Leave the betting area go to the library.
[1] - With your newfound riches, you decide it’s best to walk away. In fact, you feel like reading a book.

You ask around to go to the library, and while you get some questionable looks, people point you in a continuous direction.

When you arrive, you understand. The library’s closed. It’s a holiday. You facepalm.

Not only that, but all of your recently acquired money has disappeared as well! Those pickpockets always come out at full force during these things, don’t they?

Status Remove - Loaded

"Ok Klarissa, What do I do?"

Get guided

[6] - The King doesn’t say anything more and almost shoos you away. Klarissa follows closely behind.

As you’re walking through grand halls, escorted by a few guards, you figure it’s a good time to talk.

“So... What do I do?”

“Whatever destiny decides.” It’s pretty obvious she doesn’t like you. You roll your eyes again. Perfect.

“Okay, what has destiny decided?” Sarcasm battles have always been your strong suit.

“Nothing.”

You’re getting angry, and you notice the guards are even a little uneasy. You decide not to talk to her, as she seems to be in a really bad mood.

You exit the cas... tle? No... You exit the hallway into a tavern? How is that even possible? The sudden transition leaves you thoroughly confused. The tavern is fairly busy, and it appears to be getting dark outside. The guards quickly close the door behind you, leaving you and Klarissa in a sea of people. You both leave, exiting into a darkening town.

The streets are almost empty.

“We should get inside before Night falls,” Klarissa says, but this time, you notice she seems genuinely afraid.

Group Event (Samuel and Jarick):
Quote from: Jarick
Break out of jail.
Jarick sets about to work, removing a pencil he has stored for emergencies like this from his left sleeve with his right foot. Years of practice writing with his right foot after an accident that left his right hand unusable helps the elderly man get the numbers down.

“Excuse me,” Jarick says to a nearby guard, “but I’m going to need to see a list of your assets and all of your receipts. Lest you want me to induce tax penalties upon you and your kin.” The guard, remember what his mother said about tax demons, quickly informs his superiors, who are equally frightened. The warden demands his immediate release.

As the guards come to unlock Jarick from his cell, Jarick points to Samuel. “You should release the kid, too.”

Jarick and Samuel stroll out into the late afternoon streets. It feels oddly empty compared to the bustling from earlier.

Samuel Malbeuf:

Group Event (All):
The sun is setting, and the streets are getting fairly quiet...

PFFFAHAHAHAHAHA
Best turn. Best.
Ask to see the records keeper of the police. Have a lengthy discussion with him on how the police are doing from a bookkeeper's standpoint. Offer to assist him.
