Thaneos was satisfied. Hadria prospered, and his faith was now omnipresent. He was strong - the strongest of the gods on this world, no less. Vanida was now part of a pantheon with him, of course, but he had grown more tolerant over the years... And Az-Sho had incurred his fury before, which had convinced him to leave her be, if only to spite him. He was at the height of his powers, and nothing indicated his strength would stop growing. The times were good.

And so, on that day, he made a choice. He would no longer be the Wanderer. Of all the deities of this universe, he was the mightiest - and he had not even been born from the overgod who had created this place. He was Mighty, and from now on, all mortals would know him as such. He focused an immense amount of powers towards that sole thing, strength; and, when it was over, the Wanderer was no more; the Ancient of Might had been born.

Now, he needed an army. An army to guard his fortress if war ever came to Eversummer. Many warriors lived in Hadria - the mightiest army of the world, in fact, but those would not be enough. Over the years, thousands upon thousands of fighters had died within the empire; and amongst those, he chose the best of the best. The ten thousand best soldiers to ever have died while they believed in his power were brought from the dead, to man the walls of his Halls for all of eternity. If new, better warriors died after the foundation of this legion, they would replace the worst of those already in guard. The army manning the Halls would be the mightiest of all time.

His plans, however, were interrupted when he felt something terrible. Tens of thousands of souls died within one instant. In one mighty blow, a god had all but wiped out an entire race. This would not do. He knew who had done this genocide. And he felt anger.

Thaneos gains a sphere in Might, becoming Ancient of Might. One Mighty Act.

He spends a Death Act to resurrect the best ten thousand warriors to have ever fallen amongst his followers. These warriors will man the walls of his fortress for all of eternity. If a warrior who believed in Thaneos dies, and he is better than one or some of those guarding the fortress, he will replace the worst one. As such, the Dead Legion will only grow stronger over time.

He attacks Az-Sho with the intent to kill him, as retribution for having wiped out the dwarves and having assaulted a nation in Eversummer, despite the Ancient's instructions not to do so. He also teleports Udil into the fight (one act if necessary).

"....that was...unexpected.

Nonetheless, I am unable to interfere. My power is drained."

Corvus sighed and shook his head sadly as he watched the drama unfold.

"Ah...We know your type then. the 'Aloof Protector'. A noble goal Great One...if not the most interesting...I will agree with your lowly disposition of your siblings, but I must join them down there it seems...very unfortunate."

"Now that you have told us this, it would only be right for us to tell you about us." No! NO! Don't you dare-

"Ahem. We are Lo the Split-Minded. Our goal is to improve and nothing more. We wander the void for this for we are lost. We are-sorry, but it seems I must go. Urgent." I didn't get to finish! You're an idiot, Harum.

Lo sent the image of a curtsying female to the Elder as her simulacrum disappeared.

To the planet, we go.

The Improver sent out several simulacrums to scout out the planet, seeking out the political arrangements, resource allocation, geographical information, cultural ideas and basically anything that would seem necessary for her goal. Information always did have an interesting taste.

After some time, she gathered quite a bit of data. Fire-dwarves lead by a Fiery Snake. A newly-destroyed Dwarven Kingdom. A multiracial empire of the North. Strange shapeshifters that plagued the inhabitants of the world. A Frozen Forest. A land of Black Sands. A Searing Wasteland. So much to do...

Corvus watched the new presence curiously.

"Lo. God of improvement. Multiple minds.

Interesting...but nonetheless, I wish them luck in this destructive world."

What? No!
CHILDREN! TO ME! TO ME!

Az-Sho fights Thaneos with the desperation only a parent with child in danger can muster, furiously attacking Thaneos, trying to kill him and commanding all the Children to attack Thaneos, unless Udil shows up, in which case massacre him.
Not Aur-Sha, though; he sequesters her away from the fight.

AURIK! EMBERGUARD! YOU SEE THE WRETCH WHO KILLED HUNDREDS OF YOUR KIN! SHE IS POWERLESS BEFORE YOU AND YOU ARE BLESSED! TAKE YOUR REVENGE AND SLAY VANIDA!

If Vanida does not appear, Aurik and the EmberGuard will focus on Udil.

So many paths to choose, so few chances to experiment. This Hadria seemed safe and secure. The Fiery Ones needed aid. The Dwarves were nearly wiped out. The Northmen were barbarians and the Peoples of the Sea were weak and isolated.

So many decisions, and yet so little power to act. She could spread her cult throughout the North. She could Promise her divine aegis to the races of the world. She could have created her own race to serve her very whims.

But no, this world was far too crowded as it was. No, she had a better idea. The Shattered would be Ours.

She weaved a metaphysical song that slid against the atoms themselves. A song of peace, a song of calm, a song of clarity, a song of loyalty. Beautiful by itself, it would cure the Madness of these Shattered. And so Lo sung.

The Song reverberated across the world many times over. The very earths and waters of the world ruptured and shook with its divine majesty. Even the unthinking cells of the living world split in praise and the beings they made up leaped and jumped. No one knew the words of the song nor the un-mortal rhythm, but all were awed and shocked.

Dwarves, Children, Spawn, Humans, Karasi, Skettirs and all others were stunned momentarily as the Song played. For a moment, even rivals and opponents looked at each other in the eye, and mentally called each other brother. Even the Gods froze for a second.

The Shattered heard the Song with an intensity unrivaled by creature or object. Their very minds were being rewired and retooled.
Shattered the world over suddenly stopped in their tracks. Whether they had been sleeping, killing or devouring they all stood still and looked towards the skies, listening to the Song. Some began to join in the song, realizing the happiness of Clarity. With Clarity came the Calm. With the Calm came Sanity. With Sanity came Improvement.

When the Song finally ended, the Shattered had been cured. She spoke to them all.

"Shattered you were, mindless creatures of chaos. Now you are Cured, Mad no longer. You are beings as great as any other. You have Minds. You have purpose. Should you wish to claim a place in this world and a life to call your own, journey to Lo The Protector- You know where We be in your hearts. If you should come, you shall be known as the Choir, for through Song you were cured, through Song you shall improve."

Major Act: Cure the Shattered of their madness. Offer them further improvement by worshiping me.

Again Vanida spent her power as soon as she got it, but she couldn't stay  out of the combat with only being she hated, Vanida rushed to the battle... She never came close to Az-Sho itself. She is not a warrior god, it's not her work. She did another thing. She seduced. She talked to his followers

"You, mortals that call me goddess of depravity, while I am a Goddess of happiness that Az-Sho wants to deny you. He accuses me on killing your kind, but that's he who was the murderer because he started unnecessary war. He promised that you'll not participate in war against me anymore, but now the liar broke his promise and orders to attack me. I never wanted to hurt your kind, only this lair, this demon

See where your "Father" got you? At first he mutated you from the dwarvers your ancestors were. Then he forced you to fight my sisters. You fought bravely, but  did you got anything good from that war but "thanks"? Then he killed almost all other dwarves, your relatives, your friends, including the ones that foolishly worshiped him.  Then he moved your here in that cursed place, now he wants you to fight the mightiest god of the world just to save his skin! And you know what he plans to do in case if you win? To feed you all to his real child. That new snake. To make her stronger.  You are nothing but a cattle for him. I urge you to not fight in his name. Even more. I urge to assist a just ruler, Thaneos, and you'll not get unrewarded. Kill a false father. Kill the one who used and abused you. Kill the slaver. KILL! KILL!! KILL!!!! And enjoy the revenge"

Of cause Vanida was wise enough to throw her words maintaining safe  distance with the champion of Az-Sho and any other jotnite armed soldiers. In fact she didn't took a material form, concentrating into one place, either. She was not a warrioress, she avoided a real combat. She had no need to interact with the battlefield or soldiers in a physical way but should Aurik somehow reach her, she would do whatever possible to turn him in her love slave.

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Aur-Sha woke with a start, a great thundering, then she heard her father, her father, the one who looked like her, rallying his servants the small two legged things. And then she saw the giant, it was huge, and it seemed to want to hurt her father. Some part of her said she should help father, but that was drowned out with fear. After all, father had told her to stay away, she would do better, she would hide, the giant scared her. So she hid, but she hid where she could watch, and if the giant came near, she would run.

Corvus turned his sight to the new being.

He read it quickly.

Aur-Sha, daughter of the Earthen Serpent.

He looked to Az-Sho.

"....odds are that Udil will go after her next. I cannot save Az-Sho now...but I can try and save his child should she be hunted. I owe at least that to Az-Sho."

Corvus continued his rest, but kept an eye on Aur-Sha and Az-Sho. He owed the serpent, and he would defend his child from the dwarf god if it meant repaying the debt he owed. He was unable to teach his Children anything, because they had learnt much already, so he would fufill his side of the bargain another way.

Taerai looked upon the mass destruction of the dwarves, and the massive damage rendered unto the world that all the gods were keen on focusing on, and the massive amount of mortal life that had been extinguished. Though he was tired, and he had to withold the destrucion of the spire to help, he would help indeed. The one who wrought this destruction would rue the day they had done this...

First, would be the ascension of Thaneos' helper, one that while he could not sense much about, could atleast tell that this mortal was destined for greater things. Such things that would revealed to him on this day. This mortal would be ascended to the ranks of the lesser gods One mihgty Act to ascend Udil to godhood

Then, there was the concern of the dead dwarves. With an elaborate gesture, He would rekindle them, he would give them a new homeland, and that homeland would be well-suited to them. The continent just east of the paradise that was eversummer (Comparitively. Eversummer was well-looked after by it's head god) would be perfect for the dwarves, along with a mountain range to connect the two isolated mountains.
One mighty act to ressurect the dwarves, teleporting all living dwarves to the continent east of eversummer, and to create a mountain range between that continents' isolated mountains. ((For reference, the map: http://i.imgur.com/uFWAdfD.png ))

All that was left was to ensure the being that caused this destruction was punished. To this end, the gold colossi are sent to the aid of the newly-ascended Udil in his fight against the beasts of Az-sho.

Taerai thought that this inevitable victory for Thaneos would be a exciting one to watch, as well as giving him a chance to see how his colossi performed the duty they were created to do, even if the reasoning behind this action was different. The colossi are sent to aid Udil against the children of Az-Sho.
