Corvus smiled.

He existed now, and he felt the knowledge of mortals seep through his mind.

He decided to wait patiently. He knew others would squander power.

He was wise. He needed to wait.

Bide my time, watching for my worshippers,

((Incidentally, Az-Sho is a he. Turn here later.))

Az-Sho rejoiced. The mortals of the world had come to him, and become his children of fire. They were beautiful in their heat, and they loved and worshiped him. But the Serpent could not rest easy as he had before. New beings of power were appearing, and the visit by the grass dragon had shown him that the ones as old as him were possibly preparing to strike. This needed fixing, and his children were confined to one corner of the world. He needed them, and himself, to spread.
Earthbound Act: Az-Sho creates a series of tunnels that run beneath the earth, stretching out to all nine continents.

Minor Act: Az-Sho calls out to his children of fire, embers, and soot (all three castes) and instructs them on how to navigate these tunnels beneath the earth, and bids them to go out and bring knowledge of him to distant peoples so they may also become of fire. However, not all mortals have fire in their souls. If the beings will not accept Az-Sho as their god, they will be left alone; if they attack the Children, they will be offered up as a sacrifice to Az-Sho.
Should Udil accept Az-Sho's offer and journey to his domain, the cult will welcome and armor him.

Mutare twirled his mustache at the great coral towers. "Marvelous! My sweet Squiddles, you'll do just fine." Seeing the squiddles no longer needing him, Mutare set off. Traveling the 9 continents, Mutare would play games of wit with mortals disguised as a regular member of their species (also bringing about a craze in board games). Those who bested him were treated with his avatar's true visage, and a single question about anything they desire.

Sorry about the quotes. It's just a convenient way to condense my conversations.

Avarian was fairly amused with these Men of The North and their creativeness, so he decided to speak with the members of one of the last clans, Lupinven, which only had about 150 people.

First of all, I am sorry for your losses suffered over the years due to my creations, the frost wolves and Fears. In recompense I would like to offer you a form of ascension and power. On the next full moon, eat seven Nethersleep berries and drink two drops of Frost Wolf Essence. This "blessing", if you would like to call it that, would give you enhanced physical abilities, resistance to the Frost Wolf Essence's harmful effects, the ability to talk to the Frost wolves, and the ability to turn into any animal of your choosing for a time. Please be mindful of the fact that I am only offering this on full moons only. I trust you will make the right decision.

Avarian then made the same speech to the remaining tribes and set out to greet these new younger gods.

Modify the humans who agreed to the deal with these abilities
1. Increased strength, speed, sense, and the amount of oxygen able to be carried in their blood.
2. Resistance to Frost Wolf Essence's harmful effects
3. Ability to talk to Frost Wolves
4. Limited shape-shifting.

Udil walked through the forest, swiftly and with purpose. Well as much purpose and speed as a dwarf with a big sword on his back could muster. He knew his job and was determined to do it. He despised the lizards and the one that brought them around. With his people scattered into the four winds, dwarfkind was all but lost, and he had nothing left, but revenge.

But he knew he was far from achieving his goal. He had to find the means, allies, tools, that would let him tacke a god. Even with a blade such as his, he still had much to do and much to get through, until he would be ready to challenge Neyravah.
He cursed that name under his breath. For someone that prolaimed to be of Life, Death followed the creatures that related to that name. And his brothers and sisters, enslaved and lost.
Udil found a small clearing, and in the middle of that clearing he found a flat stone; a natural altar, as if put there by nature for a purpose.
This was it. Udil would make his mark here.

He came closer, raised his sword and spoke with a loud voice.
"By the forces above and beyond, if you are different than the master of the lizards, come. Come and partake in my slaughter so that justice may be done. I swear by everything i know and have, that I shall not relent, until i see the drakes wiped out, and my people reunited."

He stood down and slowly went back into the forest. He did not know whether his call would be answered; he ven doubted it. But at the same time, no one would stop him from doing what he set out to do.

Fate had it that he would reach Emeraldhome. The sight of the place was breathtaking - lush greenery, plenty of animals, and not far out, dwarven homes, all beneath the radiating mountain.
While his kinsmen who recognised called out ot him, the dwarf ignored thier calls heading for the mountain.

His climb was ardous and Udin wasn't sure at times that he would make it. He battled the heights of the rocky spire and held tight to the ropes and rocks. But he was nearing his goal. and There it was.

The giant jewel, glowing with divine power. The dwarf was temporarily overwhelmed by it, feeling the blessed energy restoring him and making him feel better. But the rage that burned deep within his mind would not be doused so easily.
He approached the magical emerald, and with a mighty swing of his Fang, he attempts to obtain a shard of it....

Udil calls out to any divine power willing to aid a mortal in his revenge against a god (just a short oath/prayer -hardly an act, isn't it?)
Udil climbs the mountain of Emeraldhome and tries to obtain a shard of Neyravah's Emerald to capture that god's essence. (Yeah, that would be a minor act. I dunno where I should declare it autosuccess or whether Ghaz wants to have fun with that one. I leave it up to him.)

The Spider had been content to wait for quite some time. The others saw fit to turn a blind eye to the gaping void and the dangers it could pose, and she had taken it to herself to guard them from further intrusions. But now, the weapon was in place, and this unchanging mission was certainly not of her nature. More than that, she had heard a call...

A mountain in the world below... the mortal standing upon it was special, and his rage a swirling inferno. The Spider had never seen such passionate emotion, such focused thirst for vengeance. This man would try to bring down mountains and end the divines and destroy anything in his path. Sabt Golgo gazed closer, and detached herself from the Ring.

She had never been down to the planet before. Its greens and blues were alluring - the weaker-willed others had been ensnared immediately. Now mortals and strange creatures claimed the world, living quick, hectic lives, full of change. The Spider descend slowly, gradually, casting her immense shadow over the lands below. Her presence suffocated sunlight and replacing it with an ill-omened false-light, darkness seeming to hide in every light, shadows shifting and dancing on the edge of vision. Her spindly legs of woven starlight and void-dust found footholds on the sides of the mountain and in the deep jungle, her shimmering form visible far and wide. In the Dwarven villages, watchmen found themselves staring at an immense ethereal spider, just an outline against the darkening sky. Madness and panic claimed both animals and men.

At last, the Spider settled into place, her form towering over the mountain, peering at the little man on its top. She seemed to cradle the mountain, casting it in false-light. Dozens of eyes, like miniature, radiant suns, peered down at the fate-touched mortal.

Sabt Golgo reached out with her mind, fishing out a name. She spoke, in a way, a psychic shockwave reaching far into the surrounding land.

Udil.

With that, the Spider stood and waited, her burning eyes focused on the dwarf.

The earth rumbles under Udil, and the voice of Az-Sho rumbles up from the depths.
Your kind are not yet dead, fated one. Journey to the fiery mountains in the south, and you will meet my children of fire, who have beaten back the lizards and sacrificed their blood to me. I also sense another fated one in my domain. Perhaps you might convince him to join you on your quest of vengeance. My people will welcome you; simply proclaim yourself a Chosen of Az-Sho.

His hand wavered, and he held his blow, upon hearing his name. It was as if his very soul was blased with an unreal force. Udil panicked, dreading that he angered the guardian of the place or had unleashed some terrible curse. But his mind was dominated by the call, so he turned around to gaze into the face of the Spider. He did not know how or why, but he somehow managed to stay alive while dealing face to face with a god.

He dropped on his knees almost involuntarily, but he held his head high, still gazing into the face of the astral spider.

"Who? Who are you?..... How do you know me?"
Udil's voice was full of fear but at the same time full of wonder and disbelief at what was happening. He was slowly realising that he did not consider earlier what a deity might look like or what kind of task did he set himself.

----------------------------------------------------
The voice of Az-Sho goes unheeded, Udil's mind dominated by the Spider's psychic call, save for small fragment of Udil's subconscious that remembers Az-Sho's words. Udil will recall them after his mind is been freed up.

So the spider seeks to spin its webs and suffocate this world in them...
Az-Sho made a note to watch Udil; after all, he was of the Earth, and wherever Udil went, he would know.

The Spider's response did not come immediately - she seemed to have trouble communicating at all.

Sabt Golgo, she 'said', the name echoing in the dwarf's mind. A series of sensation-words followed in quick succession, like a volley of psychic blows. Great Spider, World-Spinner, Light-Weaver, Ring-Lurker.

The Spider paused, considering. The shadows around Udil began to creep closer, flickering images of his own mind fading in and out of them. She seemed to take extreme effort with her following words.

Udil. Your wrath is as radiant as a thousand stars. A swirling inferno of vengeance that will consume all. You would end even the unending to have it.

There was a long pause. The Spider's gaze was focused fully on Udil, and frost was beginning to from on his skin. Then, finally;

The Spider offers a pact.

Udil managed to overcome his dread, slowly gathering control of his thoughts. The Spider spoke to him carefully and coherently, and after a moment the dwarf understood. His call was heeded.

"A pact? What do you offer? What should I do?"

Protection, guidance, the Spider responded. Again the words seemed to come after a great effort. For a sacrifice. Hate, you need. Love? Joy? Your sight, or the life of a loved one? Trust or distrust? Your name? Or memories, sensations, thoughts? Decide quickly, quickly. Your offering will be judged.

A silvery tendril had appeared out of the Spider's body, delicate and flickering in the air before Udil. It brought to mind a snake waiting for the chance to strike.
