Udil walked through the forest, swiftly and with purpose. Well as much purpose and speed as a dwarf with a big sword on his back could muster. He knew his job and was determined to do it. He despised the lizards and the one that brought them around. With his people scattered into the four winds, dwarfkind was all but lost, and he had nothing left, but revenge.
But he knew he was far from achieving his goal. He had to find the means, allies, tools, that would let him tacke a god. Even with a blade such as his, he still had much to do and much to get through, until he would be ready to challenge Neyravah.
He cursed that name under his breath. For someone that prolaimed to be of Life, Death followed the creatures that related to that name. And his brothers and sisters, enslaved and lost.
Udil found a small clearing, and in the middle of that clearing he found a flat stone; a natural altar, as if put there by nature for a purpose.
This was it. Udil would make his mark here.
He came closer, raised his sword and spoke with a loud voice.
"By the forces above and beyond, if you are different than the master of the lizards, come. Come and partake in my slaughter so that justice may be done. I swear by everything i know and have, that I shall not relent, until i see the drakes wiped out, and my people reunited."
He stood down and slowly went back into the forest. He did not know whether his call would be answered; he ven doubted it. But at the same time, no one would stop him from doing what he set out to do.
Fate had it that he would reach Emeraldhome. The sight of the place was breathtaking - lush greenery, plenty of animals, and not far out, dwarven homes, all beneath the radiating mountain.
While his kinsmen who recognised called out ot him, the dwarf ignored thier calls heading for the mountain.
His climb was ardous and Udin wasn't sure at times that he would make it. He battled the heights of the rocky spire and held tight to the ropes and rocks. But he was nearing his goal. and There it was.
The giant jewel, glowing with divine power. The dwarf was temporarily overwhelmed by it, feeling the blessed energy restoring him and making him feel better. But the rage that burned deep within his mind would not be doused so easily.
He approached the magical emerald, and with a mighty swing of his Fang, he attempts to obtain a shard of it....
Udil calls out to any divine power willing to aid a mortal in his revenge against a god (just a short oath/prayer -hardly an act, isn't it?)
Udil climbs the mountain of Emeraldhome and tries to obtain a shard of Neyravah's Emerald to capture that god's essence. (Yeah, that would be a minor act. I dunno where I should declare it autosuccess or whether Ghaz wants to have fun with that one. I leave it up to him.)
