Whats the deal about MU? All i saw was some shitty upload site with speed cap and timers on the people who didnt pay for it.
Mediafire is much better IMO :/

It got taken down due to SOPA shenanigans, if I remember correctly.

It's not so much the site as the FREEDOM and stuff.

Yeah ideals like that are kind of important to me. So this is awesome news to me.

The problem doesn't seem to be on their end.

Oh, nice. Not really surprising, considering how badly the FBI failed at shutting it down. Why was it hosted in the US in the first place? Seems like hosting in a more  filesharing friendly country would be a lot more beneficial.

I'm not sure if they key things will work well. Seems rather clunky to me.

Because it's way better to host servers there, in terms of connections and stuff. I remember seeing a rather interesting article about how the whole world was connected, with internet highways and such, etc. I don't know how they'll work out their coded thing + small servers in several places.

MU sucked, sure, but I'll still root for it over the FBI.

TBH I liked megaupload far better than mediafire. Let alone the others.

MegaUpload: The Revenge

Mega was always shitty enough that you were suspicious of it, but not so shitty that you didn't want to use it. I think that's the optimal medium for file sharing sites.
