they do improve or you can hire already better drivers. Drivers with 1.7 rating can make a couple of thousand a day and it get's much better from there.

I probably also chose poorly for my starting city(where my AI drivers are now.) Kiel seemed like a good choice... a large port city seemed like it would have a lot of freight moving in and out of it, but the jobs there are somewhat sparse.

Just to let you know this is 50% off on Steam.

Devs are going to release map expansions for the game and they have another team working on American Truck Simulator.

Fully modded this game is actually surprisingly good, makes me sad thinking what could have become of a trucking simulator if a proper company went out to do the whole GTAesque experience.

Hey thanks, that was enough to convince me. Started in Lyon, through Geneva, Dijon, Metz, Frankfurt and now just chillin' out in Osnabruck, ready to get myself over to Liege, with a view to eventually getting to the Volvo dealer in Luxembourg (I don't know of any more, whilst I'm sure there are others about, its kind of fun making my way over to Luxembourg).

The bank have just raised my limit to half a million Euros, so I might start proper truckin' soon. Volvo truckin'.

So it seems the Euro Truck Simulator guys are holding a contest and the winner gets a full training course to become an actual truck driver.

This is up for $6.25 at the Humble Bundle Store for the next 20ish hours.

So many crazy good reviews. So much relaxation to be had...

Does this have MP support now?

How would that work?
Convoys?
Hitchikers? =p

I must say though, for a truck simulation game I kinda wish it has just a smidge more variety. Perhaps instead of just freight trucks you should be able to pilot other kinds of trucks. *shrug*

There is none. There was one making the rounds a while back but people alternately said it did nothing or was actually malware.

They're slowly working on a "World of Trucks" multiplayer service... but at the moment I believe it's just a place to upload screenshots. Probably slowly evolve into a social network service and then I think their first plan of actual multiplayer will be to allow people to have a sort of metagame trucking company with multiple players to build up numbers which don't matter except in a competetive standpoint of "My company makes more money than yours does". Probably no in game benefits for it at the start, but I expect it to evolve over time. They really are putting a lot of effort into it. American Trucking Simulator is on the horizon as well as a Coach(Bus) Simulator and more updates for Euro truck(including a much needed rewrite of the traffic AI)
