Hi I'm new and have been reading this awesome story.

Now I have a solution to "the chosen one" problem. First ask publuis on what he/she looks like and why their a problem. Next find him via cultist to ask around and then ask our freinds in the assasins guild for a favor informing them of the problem and have them deal with it.

Questions, comments, or concerns?

Also be careful I feel the counts paranoia might have asked the Inquisition to pay us a visit...

We should totally create a vampire cult as a long term goal.

Your dwarves have no clue on how to deal with this "chosen one". Though telling them that he works with elves did get their blood up a little. They propose to just kill him in an ordinary way, using hammers or axes. They then both go back inside the temple to mine some more, because they learned to love their work. And they appreciate the statues and engravings. Honestly, leave these guys alone for a few months and they'd have dug an underground cathedral.
Or they could get distracted, and start drinking all the alcohol in the nearby city and stumble off somewhere, babbling about socks, before getting eaten by a wild badger.
So you'll just have a little talk with The Chosen. But first, you ask Putribillus why he's a problem.

Yoo 'now 'bout Chosen' ones. They tend to wanna vanquish any evil dey find, but....
Lord? What is it?
I've jus' bin, tinkin'. What if you, y'now, attempt to go with 'im?
First he's a threat, now he's an ally? I don't believe I fully understand, Carnifex.
Look, Ye can't kill 'im. He's chosin' for a reason. He's been the talk o' the creator fer a bit. Sumtin' about "The Anvil". Even I don't now te details. Either way, if 'e can't succeed 'n his quest, then even I might be doomed. The implication of this makes him shake in discomfort a bit.
I suppose those sort of groups with chosen ones in it do tend to have a morally questionable member among them. One who is often a little bit more popular then the chosen himself...
Dat, n' you can extend yo empire. I kin guarantee dat they tend to stick in a town long enuff for ya to spread your cult. I'll make sure dat the priestess has everytin' she needs ta now about leading this branch o' de cult. Anyways, good luck to ye.

So attempting to join with the chosen might be beneficial? Either way, you are going to have a talk with him. Tomorrow. He'll arrive later today, and you want to be at full strength when you meet him.
The next morning, you are woken from your meditation by a cultist with some bad news. The wizard guild is attacking the chosen one. Presumably, it's an assassination.
You have no willingness to be part of a dying world, so you rush over there with whomever you could gather at this hour. Your mage, and Three cultists, basically.
You arrive in the main street, and see the mages are getting in position while the Chosen is buying something at the market.
A public assassination. Somebody doesn't just want to kill this one, he or she wants to make it a public fact as well.

You start off by ramming your claws through an isolated mage, making that part easier. Unfortunately, the mages then start their attack upon hearing his screams.
The first fireball hits the chosen one on the shoulder, but his leather armor takes the brunt of the blows as he quickly pours some water from a flask on it to douse the flame.
Quickwitted, that one.
One of your cultists then stabs another mage, but not before said mage casts a defensive spell, making the attack do little. Your personal mage, attempts to fire a fireball of his own, but the spell fizzles badly, leaving him with a burning hand. (roll= 1)
You bare your fangs, and hiss audibly as you use your long legs to sprint over to a mage who just attempted to banish you, having figuring you for a demon. The banishing spell doesn't work on you, but it sure as hell HURTS.
He casts a defensive spell before your hit, but the chosen one hits him on the side. He flinches, and you slash him across the face. He attempts to fire a spell, but his hand has a small explosion take place on the palm, causing him to flinch.( his roll=1)
You attempt to capitulate on this moment of weakness, but the Chosen rams his blade through his spinal column, almost instantly killing the mage. ( His roll= 20+1

Your cultists are finishing off the other magi, mainly by ganging up on them. The first mage falls to repeated strikes, but the last one fires a fireball, hitting a cultist on the leg.
Your mage, however, resurrects one of the dead mages, whom proceeds to jump upon the hapless remaining mage and melts his face off with a touch spell before dying again shortly after.
After the business is done, the Chosen talks to you:
Thanks for the help! May I know your name?
I have none. I have titles, but no name. But I wished to talk to you, so please, follow me.
You both go inside a nearby pub. The owner was willing to give drinks on the house for taking care of the trouble in the marketplace without casualties.
So, what did you wanna talk about, Noname?
You take a moment to have a good look at the guy. He has short brown hair, and a thin build. His leather armor looks tough, and his sword seems to have a minor enchantment. He has multiple pouches and pockets, giving you the impression that this man is a rogue by trade whom's quite prepared.

Ask him if he's a rogue and for his name. Explain we may or may not want to help.

Ask him about his quest and why it's important.

Simply tell him that we're interested in his cause and wish to support him.

If he asks how we know about his cause, tell him that we were told by the Divine to help him on his quest.

If he asks Who, tell him that said God or Goddess wishes to remain anonymous for reasons above you.

That... Is pretty darn clever. Do this.
Also, wonder what our amulet does.

Query: mage loot can be scryed upon, but is freakishly valuable?

Well, first things first, what's your name?
You refuse to give me yours, yet you expect mine? It's Seum, by the way.
I meant it when I said I had no name. Are you a rogue?
Guess the potions give that way, huh? Yeah. I know where to stab, have some basics in herbalism... the works. What kind of profession do you have?
Hmm. I suppose there isn't much to stick on me. I use my natural weapons, but learned where to hit from a Mongoose, somewhere. So I suppose I'd be a rogue, if i'd have to place my adventurer profession somewhere. As for my actual job, I am both a leader and a servant.
A cult leader then? Interesting. I suppose your god told you about me?
You guessed right. For that matter, I'd like to help you out, seeing how I like this world.
Can I know what god you follow?
No.
Then, Ok. Do you know the specifics of my quest?
Is it that easy to get hold of that info?
No reason to keep it a secret to people who wish to help.
The walls have ears, boy. In this case, possibly literal. Wizard's Ear could be all over this place.
Have a safe place, then?
A tower, or a temple.
Then we'll continue there?
Let me finish my drink, first.

You grab the cup of orange liquid, and down it in one go. The bartender's eyes pop open, and his mouth drops when you seem no worse for wear.
That was Orcish mead! There's enough alcohol in there to outright kill a goblin! You need to take it slow on that!
You don't feel much different, though you are feeling great from it. Just gives a warm feeling throughout your body. As an entity dedicated to sin, you probably have a rather large alcohol tolerance.
I'll just keep this stuff for later then. He opens one of his many bottles, and fills it up with his drink.
Where will you go? Or will you have your discussion here, anyways. Or whatever.

Tower's probably a better idea than our temple.

Question on the werewolf's appearance, is it the standard Lycanthrope(half person half wolf anthromorph), the full wolf (a large wolf), undistinguishable (looks like a person), Nekomimi style (my personal favorite type of werewolf, looks like a normal person but with fangs, claws, wolf ears, and a wolf tail, along with maybe some other traits), or something else?

Good question. And see if our artifact amulet does anything. Maybe easily enchanted, like valuable items in morrowind? Heh, maybe we just ran into the neverarine.
