That's true. So, we will end up cleaning the town from the mob just so that we can conquer it after both sides have been exhausted? Anyway, we are going to need infomation, so we will have to leave our host at night to use Mongoose. We are going to be a nice three-sided agent.

Cool idea: steal stuff from the armoury to arm our cultists.

Request to the GM:  When I tried to picture Mongoose, I thought of Magus from Chrono Trigger.  Please make that canon.

Get some solitary weapon training done, try to memorise some of the general's skills.
Arrange an invigorated effort to oppose the mob. Offer bounties from your own purse, along with amnesty and, if desired, an escort to another city, to people with information concerning people with more criminal authority than themselves. Attempt to arrange quarantined searches of entire districts, the district in question to be chosen immediately prior to the action so that the information does not exist to be betrayed. Justify this based upon the assumption that the mob sent an assassin after you...

+1, also, if he's of noble birth, try to search his mind for information we can use if we ever need to attend noble things...might need some etiquette later on.

Guys? Priestess. We marked her, remember? I'm too tired right now to do little more than skim but I didnt catch a mention of it. We want her information and her influence. We can haver her (un)willingly mar those she heals, or quietly mark them, or just be an information gatherer. Also we can sin with her for nightly evulz.

I would tend to leave her a while to corrupt, but maintain the relationship for additional corruption...

My idea: get information from the mob with Mongoose. Get only the heads of the local mob caught. Absorb the rest into our religion.

All of this. We don't work together with the mafia unless they bow to Put's will.

Slowly redistribute guard forces to best impact in our favor. Start corrupting priestess toward our whims. Feed guard information to most trusted lieutenants of our own cult. Gradually start implementing more vicious questioning techniques for interrogations.

Another idea: get our cultists into the militia, so we can start corrupting it from inside

You quickly get to work gathering up your little tips that yuo remember from Mongoose's mind. Just some locations and middle-men though.
It's all stuff that's useful though, and placing advantages on information was easy to do. The count was willing to pay for it after someone brought the proposal. The fool's paranoia will be fun to use.
One guard pull you away from somewhere to have a private talk though...
What's the meaning of this! We had an agreement! You don't get uppity about the mafiosi, and we pay you for it!
I changed my mind, seeing how I almost got killed by an assassin! And by the way....
You suckerpunch him, knocking him out cold.

The guards quickly arrest him, and your efforts against the mafia have their effect.
The hideout you managed to pinpoint was full of people not expecting this to happen, leads to mass arrests.
This was a declaration of war, though, in a way.
During your sparring lessons, you quickly learn that your general sizes up opponents before doing a fitting pattern.
Plays it safe when up against something quick, and plays very aggressive when against something big.

You do very well during the spar, beating most of your opponents easily. (roll=15)
You get defeated when set up with the best guard in the force. It takes a lot of strength to be able to use a twohanded sword in one hand and a huge shield in the other.
The soldier's armor is also very, very thick. You were allowed to fight with actual weapons for that one, even.
After all that, you finish off a good day's worth of being a general by visiting the tower again, and making a note of the total amount of cultists.

Sadly, the guards have a entrance exam for joining. the new ones need to fight each-other before entering, and a judge will decide if they are skilled or strong enough for duty. A clean record is also needed.
So most cultists wont be able to join.
You return to your new home late in the evening, and go to sleep.
After placing a trap at the window, of course.

Switch to mongoose, go to see what happened in the mob, become leader of the mob. Fight other mobs. Repeat until there are no important mob heads in the city. Get everyone in jail. Mass convert everyone.

First, ensure loyalty of the priestess. If she's still iffy and finds us comatose...

+1. Or just leave her, emm, in a state in which she wouldn't be able to notice that we are babbling.

You ask teh guard if the priestess is coming tonight.
Ah, your stab wound playing up again? No, she gave you some salve in case that happened. She comes every two days.
Excellent.
You leave your host in the bed. He just falls asleep. He's so ingrained with his rituals that it sticks even when mad.
Don't expect him to do anything else after waking up though.

After a quick visit to the tower to grab your agile host, you go into the alley's.
As luck would have it, a shady character calls you over to talk.
Ey, Mongoose. The boss-man needs to see yah. Follow me.
You follow without a word. You enter a nearby shop, and then you go through a false wall into a mindbogglingly huge amount of space and chambers.
This complex probably goes through almost the entire district.

You enter a big badly-lit room, with a large, armored man in red armor sitting upon a throne made of skulls.
Quite one for dramatics, isn't he?
MONGOOSE! His voice resonates through the complex, and torches suddenly catch on fire.
YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FOR A TASK OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE!
Eh, sure. What is it?
DON'T TAKE SUCH A TONE WITH ME, WHELP! I WANT YOU TO ENTER THE CASTLE, AND GIVE ME THE GENERAL. ALIVE, OR DEAD!
MY SUBORDINATES WILL GIVE YOU THE DETAILS! THE AVATAR OF RAGE, HAS SPOKEN!
And he ends his little speech by slamming his effin' huge hammer against the floor, causing most torches to extinguish again.

So he's a high priest for the god of rage, then? They do love the dramatic stuff.
His subordinates give you a contract, promising a 5000 gold reward for the head, and 10000 gold reward for bringing him i alive.
Failure to comply will lead to, and I quote, " you will be hammered to the brink of death, your intestines will be fuselocked and then you will be ripped in four pieces. For the avatar's pleasure"
What do you do?
