After entering the basement, I want to have a plan for what to do. Unless you want a two-sentence update in which you enter the basement.
I like have at least eight lines of text in my updates. If I end up doing more, that's wonderfull.

Well without fully understanding what is in the basement, it's kind of hard to say.  I guess look around for people to recruit into our party.  Ask around about some nice local dungeons or abandoned towers nearby we could use as a base.  Try and pick up information about local government, society, culture and the like.  Also ask about quests both for good guys and bad guys.  Where there is a quest, there is something valuable at the end of it that we can use to further our own purposes.  Plus new people to meet along the way and exploit.  Oh lastly we should find out about possible threats to us like good adventurers, villains with goals that might conflict with our own, etc.

You enter the basement, and find a surprisingly big crowd of people, all trying to get something they want.
It's a market for murder, slaves, dangerous animals, bribes, extortion and ,surprisingly, poodle-poking.
Taking a look around, you hear some rumors of possessing entities floating around and about the orc that's in questioning right now.
According to the jester from the court (An important person, guessing by the respect he gets) the count is getting increasingly scared of something.

You walk around a bit, gathering whatever you find, but you find nothing else as you are called over by an elder man.
Hey, Mongoose! Looks like you acquired our little asset...
He looks leeringly towards your priestess, who look unimpressed.
She's got assets of her own, I see.... Say, if you need a quick bit of money, I propose you-Finish that sentence, and you will discover how it feels to have your tiny "asset" rot away.
The man looks a bit disturbed, then asks you to come along.

Alright, look. If she's gonna act like that, I can't keep her in crowds, Mongoose. Just take her to the northern tower. Do with Keal what you wish.
Or is it just because the entity's in her? Is she possesed?

Yes.
Talkative as ever, I see. Feh, just prevent this from getting out of hand. Here's your payment for the delivery.
He hands you a small sack of gold. You take it and jingle it a bit. A bit light, but it's something.

Now get going. You can expect another payment when she's there and you get some Deathrot along with you.
Right, the old man goes away, and you now have a little freedom again.
What do you do?

Investigate that tower.  Also what I said before about recruiting people.  Try and look around or ask around for a beginner/dabbling necromancer or warlock to recruit.  That'll give us access to cheap disposable minions.  Don't try and recruit anyone too powerful though.  We want people we can more easily manipulate and control while we are still weak.

Do we just ask them to become our minions? Or was there some sort of plan to motivate them...

Well the plan on how to recruit them probably varies from one individual to the next based on their motivations and personality.  Promises of wealth, power and immorality are all pretty good base bets though.  Still I wouldn't plan it out too much until we meet the person we want to recruit.

We've got a good body, we got really lucky guys. I says we go pickpocket a little more gold in order to arm ourselves with more than just a smoke pellet. We're a tricky, agile little bastard, it should be easy right?

You give a check around for possible schmucks that would enjoy the perks of temporary freedom before you inevitable posses them all because you're evil n' shit.
You find a young person who is wearing purple robes and small, round glasses. He looks somewhat scared as you approach him. He turns to you, and gets startled by your black leather armor.
W-What do you want?! I-uh... I know how to set you on fire! S-so back off!
I'd like to offer you something. I have a powerful associate with me who could use some good help.
R-Really? I look like something somebody would want?
Wizards are always good to have. Especially if they are young. Still full of potenti-LemmejoinLemmejoinLemmejoin!

The boy lets go of your collar, and he jumped on the chance to join you. You needed to ask some directions to get to the tower, and you could not find any other person that didn't know Mongoose or was potentially useful.
On the way there, you attempt to pick some pockets when in the crowds. You manage to get a single small pouch, giving you just enough to get a small dagger. (roll=10)
Another attempt after getting the dagger nets you another poultry sum of coins, but hey. It's something.

When you arrive at the tower, you hear some minor explosions coming from the top. Seems like this Kael guy is an alchemist.
The tower is in ramshackle shape, but is quite big. You can probably keep around 20 men in there, if needs be.
The alchemist is likely too busy with his experiments to notice your entry. What are you going to do with him?

Enter the tower and keep eyes open for valuables but don't steal anything yet.  Talk to the alchemist and see what he wants.  Pretend to cooperate and then when he doesn't expect it, incapacitate but do not kill him.  Restrain him and when he wakes up, get as much useful information from him as possible.  If he is cooperative we might keep him alive and have him work for us.  If the alchemist doesn't want to cooperate we'll just kill him.  Also find out what skills our apprentice knows.  If necromancy, then keep eyes open for corpses to reanimate.

You enter the tower. It's a downright mess, really. Some goop on the floor there, some cake statues here.... He's an experienced alchemist alright.
Taking a look around for valuables, you find a lot of lead and an uncountable amount of alchemy ingredients. That could actually fetch a nice price.
While you are looking around, and the faint bangs continue upstairs, you ask your newest addition to the party what his area of expertise is.

Well... I only just started my actual career in magic. I had the signs from early on, but my mum din't want me to get taken  away for "The School".
So I only know some basic spells, but I can get better in every single branch of the clever craft, really. I have Fireball, resurrect small creature and heal small wounds. (info page updated)
I, eh, I learned most from books, so I may be a little rusty.
It will be sufficient. I will try to neatralise this Keal character, but not kill him. Any suggestions?
I know a paralysis spell for the more stubborn offerings, but you'll need to hold him down for a few seconds.

You all go upstairs, and Keal is too busy with his couldron to notice you coming in.
Mr. Keal?
MONGOOSE! You son of a bitch! I don't have any more taxes, you just took them, so clear out!
I'm not here for that, what I wish is to cooperate with you on a certain level.
His eyes look ready to pop out of their sockets, untill he sees your priestess' staff.
Ah, You want me to get you the needed deathrot leaves? In exchange for money I assu-
You interrupt his talk with a very fast tackle. His elder body is frail enough, but you missed slightly, so he manages to keep his footing. (roll=5)
He can grab a nearby weapon, but then gets punched in the face by your fist. (punching something with your ribs would just be silly, really.)

0His large wooden sppon drops from his grip and your priestess holds him down and starts casting. She can't hold him down long enough, and you can't get close enough without knocking your priestess out of the way.(your roll= 3 her roll=5)
He manages to scamper away, and tries to run towards the stairs untill his foot catches on fire.
He falls to the floor, attempting to put it out, and you and your priestess finally manage to paralyse him.

He falls unconsious from the shock. You have some time to find your questions.
