IntroductionAn exhausted looking man runs into a room. By the looks of him, he's gone through a lot. Opposite of him is a glowing doorway. "Yes! I'm finally gonna be free of this hellhole!" He exclaims excitedly. He suddenly runs full sprint the to doorway.
"Not so fast. I haven't given up quite yet," Says a voice out of thin air. Then suddenly a cute and adorable puppy is created right in front of the man. The man jumps back and stands ready for anything. "Oh nice. I was able to make it better then intended," says the same voice again. Then the puppy turns pitch black, it's eyes glow yellow, and bones spikes grow from out it's body. Just then the evil puppy rushes the man.
"Don't worry. I'll protect you like always," Says another voice from out of nowhere. Then a zebra spawns out of nowhere facing the evil puppy. "Um.... oops. I kinda screwed up..." the second voice tells the man. As soon as the second voice says this, the zebra copies the puppy with the turning black, glowing eyes, bone spikes thing.
"DAAAMNIIIT!!!" the man yells as he readies his weapon. He puts up a good fight, taking down the evil zebra. Too bad the evil puppy body slams into him and gets his insides torn up from the evil puppy's bone spikes. The evil puppy doesn't finish him off but instead finds a corner and sleeps, sure it did it's job.
"Haha, finally got you. GG," Says the first voice happily.
"Well look on the bright side, at least your going to you religion's heav- uh.... er.... never mind your going to hell... um... nice try?" Says the second voice, doing a poor job at consoling the dying man.
"Damn.. you... stupid gods!" The man curses them both with his final breath. Done in by an evil puppy. What a way to go huh? What this game is about.Alright, hope you guys like the intro I did. Anyways that should give you a guess about what this RTD game is about. It's about gods and random people trying to survive in their twisted game. Four of the players will be the humans trying to survive while two other players play as gods. There is a good god that tries their best to keep the humans alive while there is an evil god that's trying to kill the humans at every step. The goal of the random humans is to escape the this game for gods. I expect there to be high casualties.
General rulesThe game will be broken into turns. Before a turn the players do any action they please as long as it's possible. No "Pull out a rubber chicken from my ass and pretend it's the hulk..." unless you already have a rubber chicken in your ass... which would be weird, and probably get you killed. Moving on, I will then use a random number generator to determine your success. A 1 means your action completely failed badly and end up getting you killed. A 6 means... you've somehow defy logic and physics and pull off your action with great success. Everything in between scales between those numbers. Basically you want 4's, 5's, and especially 6's. After all that the turn proceeds and you all get to see how well you did. After that you do more actions for the next turn and ect. Also can you put your character's name in their actions please? Make it easier for me to follow.
If you don't post an action within 24 hours of the last turn's post, your character will be NPC'd (I will control him) for one turn. If you post an action after another 24 hours then you'll be replaced with the next person on the wait list. If you wanna play again, you'll be sent to the back of the waitlist. For the gods I'll say your character got bored and gave up. For the humans I'll say your character will [some reason related to the world that is currently unknown at this point in the game].(and no it's not death).
Human rulesYou play humans from the real world so you'll have jobs like people would from the real world. Your old job will determine your starting skills (which I'll make up based on your job). You can learn new skills as the game progresses and maybe possibly magic too. Ok you will be able to learn magic. As I mentioned before you goal will be to escape from the gods' twisted game and get back to your world. Also I should mention I'll being using an HP system to gauge how alive you are. Hit 0 and you'll be dead. You start with 50 HP.
You can stick together with the other humans or go out on your own. Or kill them if you want but remember your goal is to survive and return to your world. So sticking together and not committing homicide on your fellow humans is best.
Regarding talking to people and NPCs, you can use up a turn in hopes of getting a 6 to talk to people, or you can choose to talk outside of a turn but it'll be both faster and you won't have to worry about rolling a low number and get shanked because of it. If you wanna use a turn to talk, make the action bold and in quotes. Otherwise, just use quotes and say your not using a turn or something.
Over the course of the game you will get injured. Injuries suck. There is 3 kinds of injuries. Bleeding, broken bones, and missing limbs. Bleeding means that... well you're losing blood. You need blood to stay alive. Small cuts and scrapes won't be mentioned since they are' very minor (usually). There is minor bleeding where a lot of blood is coming out, but won't be too life threatening. You'll lose 1 HP every turn until it stops. Will heal on it's own eventually. Moderate bleeding is when you have a whole lot of blood coming out. You'll lose 3 HP a turn until it stops. Will heal eventually but will take a while. Then there is major bleeding. Your losing way too much blood and will lose 5 HP a turn. Will not heal on it's own.
Broken bones happens when something happens in some form or another your bones in your body is broken. They won't heal on there own (unless the game world goes through a few weeks) so you'll have you heal them your selves. You'll also get roll penalties (like -1 or -2 or so) on most a lot of rolls depending on where and how many. Also you can break your spine, ribs, neck, and skull too. A broken spine (if you survive) will cause paralysis. Very bad thing. If a rib breaks you can get internal bleeding, which won't be so easy to heal, and also will have breathing problems that;ll affect your rolls. Breaking your neck has a chance of instant death. Breaking your skull will have a chance of instant death as well as a big chance to knock you unconscious. Basically put broken bones are like in real life and like in real life, they suck.
Then there is missing limbs. You have a missing arm or leg and is accompanied by major bleeding. You can't use said missing limb anymore and by most chances you'll never get a new one. Try to keep your arms attached to yourself... unless you have a thing for amputees.
Another rule. There might be times when the evil god summons up something fake or a trap. Your character won't know until they either fall for it or the good god tells them there is a trap or it's fake. So even if you yourself know that there's a trap, your character won't... so if you think you would've fell for the trap without the knowledge, your character has to fall for it. I think the term would be no metagaming? Not really too familiar with the term so not sure. Anyways I hope you get what I'm saying.
Due to people accusing other people of metagaming, NPC conversations will be done via PM for all those involved (like all those in earshot and the gods).
And one last thing. If you die, you can make a new character and go to the back of the wait list if you want. Even sign up for a god wait list if you want.

God RulesSo you wanna be a god huh? I can see why. Well there are some rules to follow. The first major one is that you can not directly affect the humans themselves or their items. Not just the player humans but the NPC humans as well. You can however do pretty much anything else. Make a portal to the last room as a good god. Sure. Make a hell gate that spawns endless monsters as an evil god. Alright. Though you too a affected by rolls. And if you get a 1, you may end up doing the exact opposite of what you was planning. (plus for those two examples you'd need like a 9 or something to hope to succeed. But you can try if you wanna). So do as you like. But remember that the more powerful your action is, the more likely it is to fail. Minor stuff like spawning item or talking to the humans is very unlikely to fail (still watch out for the evil 1!).
All creatures summoned by gods will be under god protection. Meaning once a creature is summoned, neither god can directly do anything to it.
Good gods are there to protect the humans from all sorts of dangers, including the ones posed by the evil god. As such if any human dies, you will be replaced with a new god since you lost the game. You can make up and new god or human and go to the back of one of the waitlists.
Evil god are there to kill the humans. Use your godly powers to create dangers for the humans or make existing dangers even more dangerous. Also if you fail to kill any humans within 10 turns, you lose the game and a new god will replace you. You can make up and new god or human and go to the back of one of the waitlists.

P.S. Any advice on rule changes or organization or even typos, feel free to tell me. I really probably shouldn't be making up a RTD game considering I never heard of the term until a week ago. But I have some experience playing a water downed version of D&D with my step dad and step bro, so I get the basic idea of how it works.... I think. Plus it seems like a lot of fun so i said screw it and decided to make my own anyways.
Also if you think the gods power is too powerful or weak (which I doubt that lol) I'd like advice on that too. Since most of you guys play these kinds of games a lot.
