Honestly, I feel like "AL IS A FAKE AL" is a bit of a conclusion leap. I mean, he's acted exactly like the real Al. The Soul Star might be fake/nonexistant, but I'm pretty sure Al is real.

Yeah, my Doppelganger theory was mostly because Al lost his soul star during the party split when we followed Proxxy. (Which in D&D terms is exactly when a DM usually get one of the PCs replaced by a Doppelganger.) Al appearing to 'manifest' the garbled soul star when called on it still seemed to be an Al-localized phenomenon to me because I had totally forgotten about this:

For the first, that's what we're trying to figure out; it appears Riltia doesn't want us to change point of view. This may be a sign of betrayal, or perhaps she has good reasons; either way it's worrying. For the second...I dunno. It seems some people hopped on that train of thought because this Al doesn't remember Pink (Which can just be attributed to the memory loss), and the thought that maybe Riltia doesn't want us to become Al so we won't realize that this isn't the true Al.
