I am about to say something that will no doubt shock and appall everyone here.

I don't give a fuck about the loot.

We don't know how long Worldmaster will be with us; freeformschooler as much as said "not long." We are incredibly unlikely to ever have a friendly Spirit of the Collective in our passive party on the very floor Polydectes inhabits. This is the kind of bizarre nonsense that breaks cycles. If it works, it opens up so many possibilities, and if it doesn't it's still probably good for some delicious exposition. We know Oric values exposition highly, he straight up put a price on it.

In all likelihood we can take care of the loot after Worldmaster, even if we have to hunt down some thieving Illborn to do so. This is an opportunity I do not expect to arise again in the course of the game.
