Oric wants Proxxy alive. Why? If Oric wants the Target dead, and Proxxy is siding with the Target, why wouldn't he put a hit order down upon Proxxy? Further... Why hasn't that protection been extended to Rilitia? Since you know. The whole throw her off the ship thing or else.

If I am remembering properly, Oric would prefer to kill us personally to ease collecting our soul charge. He wants us to kill as many Siblings as possible along the way, because that powers us up. The stronger and more soul-charged we are when he kills us, the more energy he harvests.

Thus, killing Proxxy himself would be counterproductive. He wants us to do it. The fact that we're allied with her would probably just boost the soul charge we'd get if we killed her.

That's probably part of why he wanted us to kill Riltia, rather than doing it himself (apart from the whole "he could conceivably KO himself attacking her" thing).
