I mean, he did just say as much to Oric's face not that long ago. Unless we take out one or the other first, there's gonna be a pretty great fight between the two of them before next cycle.

Proxxy's Orientation explicitly told her not to talk to Cain. So let's call Cain, see why Oric doesn't want us to talk to him. We know from Sinful Intermission that Cain wants to talk to her...

I would also say not to talk to Cain until we've made contact with at least one of the main party.  Otherwise, I'm sure Cain would corrupt/drive Proxxy insane.

On the other hand, we will have to go through Cain at some point to reach the main party, I think. That's assuming our best route is: DL3 -> Serabella -> Checkpoint -> The Greens.

Cain probably wouldn't do much in the way of corrupting Proxxy, I believe FFS once stated Cain has a different theme from his DL?
EDIT: It was said that Cain has his own Art Style, not theme.

Cain would probably do a few things to Proxxy. Such as turning her against Oric before Target can kill her, luring her into his Boss Room to kill her, consume the Soul Charge in her Soul Star, do something irrevocable to her Soul Star, get her to release Cain, and worst of all, give Cain his Soul Star.
