Proxxy: Rattle your chains, test their strength. How much do they limit your movements?

Is the area around you just blackness? Does it go on forever?

Try to remember the names of our siblings (and also if they're siblings or "siblings"). Their names might be part of an acronym or something to help solve the puzzle.

Don't mind me, just compiling the letters.

YR RUST TU| USY YT| SUOT
-+ ++++ -+| -++ --| -+-+

We also don't know what a "halfhabet soup" is. Right now from the sample we have got it's either that a) This isn't a simple letter substitution cipher or b) We don't have enough sample to crack it using letter frequency.

well her use of -- seems to imply that we should be moving values by 1, not 13 as originally thought. I think? Oh or that when moving backwards we move by one, and then move by 13 if forwards.

She said when not increment, so perhaps after it's all incremented you space?
But what do you increment!

Everything is important... Perhaps this means that the letters that aren't being used in a statement mean something.

+> There are four walls with no doors.

In this case, there are 27 normal characters in that sentence and 1 orange one. Adding 27 to U would roll it over to the letter V. I'm not sure if that is what she is getting at though.

When a letter of the alphabet is in the 14th place or higher, increment it by one. If it's not, subtract 1 and you have the place letter you're looking for.
I don't think this one works.

Wherever there's a >, find the thirteenth character of that line and increment it by 1. If not, subtract 1. In the case of ->, increment by 1 instead of -1.

Zqnqtrestd

Nope. Reversing the incrementations on + and - wouldn't work either because then we'd be left with an X instead of a Z.

Possibly worth noting is that all the letters coloured in are on the second half of the alphabet.

Well crud. There's a reason I said we should be cautious with the Astral Influx. We are stuck on Proxxy until she dies or we get to Ciro. Unfortunately... that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. Our only way out of here seems to be to break this code.

We need more examples. The real key here is Proxxy's Soul Star: I think it manipulates tech-allowing her to escape. But she won't use it because she doesn't trust us yet.

Okay. Code theory time: map each shaded letter to the corresponding letter in the previous section of the alphabet, i.e z->a, y->b. After that, increment by thirteen if the line selected has +>, and subtract by one if the line selected has ->. If it is only >, then leave it. Let's see how this works...

processing... sxef. Nope.

This is going to take a while. Note in the latest post, Proxxy sends the word Evil as E-V-U-L which might be clue. Wait. I just noticed a pattern. When there's a > without any + or - behind it, there are no orange letters. Well. I also think that if there is no > of any kind on a line, then the previous line's > type applies to it. I think this to be true based on my own experience with JavaScript where a line can wrap around if it goes long enough. So...

In summary:
> denotes a line.
+> does something
-> does something
> has no orange letters
if no > of any kind, then continue from previous line.

Edit: What order of Oric's did you disobey?

Edit 2: Also, its about time that I did this: Set spirit class to Aberrant Scimitarmaster.

Currently we have
Code: [Select]
YR RUST TU USYYTS UOT UPUT
-+ ++++ -+ -++ --- +-+ ++--
If the - means go to the previous letter, and the + means rot13, then we would have the following input stream to decrypt
Code: [Select]
XE EHFG SH TFLXSR HNG HCTS
An alternate possibility would mean we decrypt, then apply the shift, which means we would be decrypting the highlighted text given to us.
