It's still in the inventory.

Holy hell! You guys actually caught an illborn! You know what this means? We actually have creatures we can (f)use in the Dark Cathedral!

I mean, we could hypothetically end up with CopySlog!

Of course, maybe we should go hunting for more common creatures to experiment with first, like wisps or hellyfish or abberrant thieves or whatever.

So, uh, yeah. Go left, while vowing to be the best and become an Illborn Master once you get back to familiar territory.

I wonder if it'll act as a duplicate of somebody else when left in Underside? That might be handy, since it would allow us to use it as a Helper, Researcher, or Gatherer.

Edit: Also, we seem to be under the assumption that it'll copy our allies. Maybe it'll copy our enemies?

Actually, I have a feeling that it can only copy people with Soul Stars. It would fit in with the whole Illborn soul-seeking thing.

The obvious thing to do is to copy Cain/Oric with it.

I have a feeling that Oric would do something bad if we did that.

Also, is it possible that the Copy Cat can only copy if one Soul Star-wielder is in the vicinity? We need to do some science.

Like, testing how loyal a captured illborn is when we let it out. Did we poke-ball-brainwash it, or did we simply stuff it in a cage? Probably somewhere in between, closer to pokeball.

Also, can the copy cat copy soul-bound abilities? We didn't recast the bulwarks, so we don't know if it can copy them. Get it to copy Ciro and then have it bloodshape something, maybe.

...Hold on. How can stuff be soulbound to Illborn, even though they don't have souls? How is kept track of? Are the souls kept somewhere?

So we summon the copy cat, and check it's copy ability's menu, check if that is soulbound, and since Illborn lack proper souls and probably can't soulbind, try to transfer the ability to someone else in the party. Like Cherish. Then get that party member to copy Ciro, and then see if the copy-form has a copy-bloodshape in it's inventory, and if it does, get everyone to bloodshape what they feel is the most appropriate weapon for them.
