Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Damn, I had came up with an alternative way, very similar to this. Well, +1.

After a bit of thought, +1

You do the thing. The thing listed up there. No, higher. Yes. Yes, in the spoiler. Yes. THAT'S what you do. Are we all clear on this, now? The blue ball waits for us to be clear on this, just in case it didn't need to materialize.

You keep rollin' that orb. Sphere. Shaded circle. That's odd. There's nothing here but...

(Perception: 13+1 PERC)

Something really tiny is on the ground in the middle of the platforms!

You got an OricSoft MEMOR-E Cartridge!

MEMOR-E #1: SERVANT SERAPH

ORIC descends the ladder to DUNGEON LEVEL 2 to face off with his final foe: the SERVANT SERAPH. With his hard-won skills, smarts, and loot, he is prepared for the last challenge... or so he thinks. Featuring cameo appearances by REX and VI.

That sure is some shit you don't care about!

By the power of baffling magi-tech, the north door transports you back to the starting room. The blue ball wiggles around, jerks over the right, see the pink ball in place, rolls back over to the left, sliiiides into place in the outer pocket, realizes there's no room for the final ball, and musters up the strength to creak over the connecting wire and fall into the middle pit. All of this happened off screen and it was amazing.

Now what?

Carve YES into Slab out of spite. Then throw it in the pit.

Are we able to get to that area on the map that looks like we haven't explored it yet?

So, are these ghost things the remnants of characters from past Cycles, or what? I think that they're either that, or the ghosts of monsters that were on DL2 when it was cleared. Or maybe both.

And now for the path less trodden. Make note that this next guy can actually get through our shield, he did last time. Of course, I don't doubt he's similarly as sturdy as the others.

They are diabolical, humanoid spirits.

Go West, to find the third Boulder. If the room is the same as before, don't fall in the void, and head south without engaging in combat.

they're humanoid spirits who base their projections off of past horrors and accidents.

Also, now after getting the final boulder in, we have been given extra incentive to be solo Al in DL3 with our troll-warks

Well, to start with, it's quite possible that Oric had to fight a Seraph at the end of every floor, much like how we fight Siblings.
