It's a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann fanfic.  The real story starts after we bust out of underground.
So what you're saying is: Ciro: Bloodshape drill?

A drill is a really impractical AWESOME weapon.

FTFY

Though really I'd rather we not make melee weapons since they take MHP. I vote (have voted?) for the shotgun.

*stares meaningfully at Bartering ram*

Your point?

Seriously, I'm not arguing for or against the drill. (I was mostly joking, since Ciro making melee weapons costs Max HP, which she is more likely to need if she engages in melee combat.) But this is a choose-your-own adventure/dungeon-crawler RPG. It has shown a lot of influence from existing video games, anime, etc., many of which feature impractical weaponry as a stylistic rule, and often runs off of RPG logic instead of physics. I think it's safe to assume a weapon's effectiveness isn't going to rely on anything but what the stats in its menu look like. And that's going to be based on either our die roll or FFS' whim.

Every time someone says "Don't attempt those crazy shenanigans/doing something stylistically awesome, it's stupid and'll never work!" I sit and stare at the screen for a minute and go "Have you been reading the same thread I have? The author even gave us a bonus to attempts to exploit loopholes and crazy nonsense that tries to bypass the rules!"

Maybe we could use Bloodshape to make upgrades. For example, bloodshape Menacing Spikes for it to menace with, thus increasing Bartering ability.

Your point?

Not much of one.  You'll note I didn't actually vote against the idea.

Now this is an idea I can get behind.  +1

Yeah, I never did get where that came from. I mean, I don't really understand a lot of Christian practices, but that one in particular was always just...Ew.
You might need to be more specific.

Is this really the right place to be having this derail?
Is there ever a right place for a derail?

"Right to mock Christianity"
"If you don't like[...]then skip the next paragraph > [Reasons]"
Wow, GWG. I haven't heard such patronizing ideals stated in such an outright way. If you're curious, which I believe you are, then ask without insulting (or subtly being snide in any way, in the least)
Tell you what: Why don't you research what you're 'mocking' about before you open your mouth and state those ideas as if they were facts, please.
I'm pretty sure that going through confirmation counts as "research" for most topics related to Christianity...
And for the record, I am mocking Christianity, not Christians.

I've half a mind to hit that report button but here's my two cents: Shut it and speak with an open hand (meaning: Speak with an open-minded attitude).
Open-minded, how?

I do believe in the truths, I don't believe in any of the traditions.
You know, if we weren't trying to avoid all-out religious debates, I would reply to that.

Canada (and probably the US) celebrate Remembrance Day, in order to remember WW1 and WW2, as well as a whole slew of other wars. We do this in order to remember how awful they were so that we don't repeat history. I've felt that some of the traditions originated from parts of history that we should be remembering how awful they were; so that we don't DO the stuff from those particular traditions.
That is...um...unique.

Mandatory anti-joke-action -1
It's not really a joke action. We should bloodshape a new weapon, and a drills as good a weapon as anything.
In that case, mandatory anti-silly-pointless-action -1

re: bartering ram

what we need to do is do acquire a scroll of greater fusion (fusion scroll fuses fusion scroll with fusion scroll, described when we were all for buying them) and fuse a shopkeeper with the bartering ram

we either get a portable store or a double+barter ram

it cannot go wrong

No. We need to fuse two shopkeepers together! Double the Eyebrows, double the prices.
(Then fuse that one with another Double Shopkeeper)

This strikes me as being the exact opposite of what we want.

If that's the case, then surely splitting the shopkeepers in half would also halve the prices.

Pre-emptive -1 to bifurcating any shopkeepers with any bladed implement.
