Breaking speakers will probably remove music effects for that speaker's room. Remember how the music didn't start until the second room?

It might be nice to have a music-free room just in case something is chasing us and the current music effect is bad. Or if the boss takes power from music somehow.

Also, -1 to destroying the speakers.  We really don't want to risk upsetting Ecco, at least not this early on. 
I also think we should try one last time to get Al to talk, using our only remaining option: calling him Al-senpai!  It's a long shot, but it's worth a try.
I also think we should reabsorb the pathetic revolver that we just made, and bloodshape that powerful sniper that we created back on DL2.  That or a sniper-scythe, if we can afford the MHP loss as well.
