The Dance Fight GROOVE MATRIX was epic.

Holy shit, I can't believe that worked. I guess your few hundred pages of trying were worth it. I have to admit, I am kinda happy to see him again too.

+1 Cain

I think we should leave Al and Slog in Underside.

I think we should leave Al and Slog in Underside.

Al is useful. Goombess is semi-useful. Honestly, the only reason not to leave Goombess is because she might be unhappy.

To help alleviate that, ask Goombess to research our items and the Underside. Since she doesn't know too much about the area, she might not mind staying there for a bit.

Another reason to not let her stay however is that she's a ready and very helpful source of knowledge on new enemies we see. Who would of poked the omni-ranged burrow monster if it wasn't for Goombess saying it was very dangerous? Or shot the acid-spitting plant?

True. If not for the fact that we may be heading into a boss fight, I'd agree. Of course, we're also about to go onto a new floor.

Once we reach the new floor, we should dump Al and pick up Goombess as soon as possible. Until then, I think we shouldn't get rid of Al.

Edit: Edit was ninja'd, moving to new post.

You're going on the assumption that we will be able to switch our party members when we get there.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

OH NO.

I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING.

What if Tactical Diplomacy counts as an alternate battle system and we don't have enough Soul Charge to use it because of Slog's revival?

FFS, if this happens, you had better not post a reaction gif.

I'm going on the assumption that we'll eventually find some way to get to the Underside, which we probably will.

What if we Astral Influxed over to Cherish or Al and used their charge instead?

+1 to Cain.  Also, +1 to first shifting all of the soul stars, and keeping them with their respective owners.  We know that using the second shift weapons will use up soul charge, which is by far our most valuable resource.  We now know that if one of us dies we can just use up some soul charge back at the machine to revive them, but if one of us loses all our soul charge thing become a little more difficult.  We can always second shift them back whenever we really need them anyway.  Oh, and -1 to leaving people behind.  This next encounter could get ugly, and from what we've seen of his abilities we're going to need all the help we can get.  Wait a minute, where did Ripriver go?  Did he stay behind on DL3 on something?

Yeah, Ripriver staid behind.
These last few updates were amazing. We actually went through the effort to revive a weak, mostly useless mercenary and solved a theorycraft in the process.

Hell, +1 to Cain and -1 to anything involving the DL3 checkpoint.

Also if somebody dies, the emotinoal damage would probably charge the soul charge enough to revive them. Possibly. Until we're all jaded and shit.
