Because the mercenaries might contribute something to the party?

Also, why is everyone saying Al is so "powerful"?

Because past impressions die hard, is my guess. Ablative armor helps too.

He has higher stats than anyone else.
Plus the armor power, like Xanm mentioned.

I mean, to be honest we can probably make ourselves armor (Blood Knight) too, which would be nice.

Actually, you know what, yeah. Bloodshape armor.

That's right! We're off the anti-magic floor! WE CAN BLOODSHAPE ANYTHING WE WANT

With Windirection, we can see what's past the Acid of Ritlia Eating.

All we'd really be doing is using up an inventory slot.

That was actually an observation and not a suggestion.  We should do our futzing around first- let's worry about that post DL3- I want to get back there soon.  But I could get behind some Bloodshape Armor.

FFS, can we suggest more than one action?

If we want to bloodshape something, I think we should try to bloodshape a healing skill.

Also, mercenaries will be pretty useful now that we gain bonuses from having people sit around.

I wonder what Slog would do?

-1 to all suggestions of placing unloyal mercenaries in charge of the house. They would most likely rob us and leave.

My only comment is that the DR is per die roll, and to ask you to remember what a Scout Bot's damage rolls are. There's some play as to how much MH is worth in exchange of DR, but generally I'd say its worth it unless its rather extreme.

EDIT: I've personally been waiting to see a 6d2 or a 8d1 damage roll for a while, 'cause I know its coming up. Something hilariously dangerous without DR, trivial with. You wouldn't have DR apply to rolls if that situation won't come up somewhere, you'd be missing out.

Yeah, one or two HP for a point of armor is well worth it if you ask me. So I guess I'll +1 Xan's armor suggestion.

Hey, there WAS one of those! However - though we never saw the stats - I specifically remember it rolled for damage die instead of damage per die. So the attack wasn't actually 7d1 but rather 1d10 1d1's. Or something like that.
