Quote from: wikipedia
Windows ME is a continuation of the Windows 9x model, but with restricted access to real mode MS-DOS in order to decrease system boot time.[6] This was one of the most unpopular changes in Windows ME, because applications that needed real mode DOS to run, such as older disk utilities, did not run under Windows ME (although the system could either be booted into real mode DOS using a bootable Windows ME floppy disk or the configuration could be tweaked manually to reenable access to the underlying MS-DOS).

Quote from: same article
Windows ME was heavily criticized by some users, mainly for stability issues. A PC World article dubbed Windows ME the "Mistake Edition" and placed it 4th in their "Worst Tech Products of All Time" feature.[39] "Shortly after ME appeared in late 2000," the article states, "users reported problems installing it, getting it to run, getting it to work with other hardware or software, and getting it to stop running."

The System Restore feature sometimes ended up restoring malware which the user had previously removed, since its method of keeping track of changes is fairly simplistic.[40] By disabling System Restore, the malware could be removed, but the user lost all saved restore points.

System Restore also suffered from a bug in the date-stamping functionality that may cause System Restore to date-stamp snapshots that are taken after 8 September 2001 incorrectly. This can prevent System Restore from locating these snapshots and can cause the system restore process to fail. Microsoft released an update to fix this problem.[41]

Ah. Sadly, it seems to mostly be boring techy stuff instead of interesting techy stuff. However...
"...System Restore also suffered from a bug in the date-stamping functionality that may cause System Restore to date-stamp snapshots that are taken after 8 September 2001 incorrectly."

WHY DID YOU PEOPLE DO THIS? WHY? Seriously, senseless murder? What was even the point?

This is pretty much how I reacted when I woke up to find Slog dead, IIRC.

If you're talking about Ciro, not yet, at least.

Oh yeah. We may have just found out Ciro's Soul Star passive....
We gain Soul Charge, rather than our party.

Fits with Ciro's ultimate form involving being a Soul Manipulator.

I'm pretty sure that bit of soul charge was from the traumatic experience of having loot destroyed.

At least that's my theory hypothesis.

Hmmm..... Oh wait. I read that wrong.

I thought Proxxy was the one who freaked out from the Loot getting destroyed.

Unless the fanciness of the staff is that it is a pool of soul charge, and destroying it allowed us to absorb some small portion of it.

But yeah, more likely we were just freaked out that loot was destroyed (though thankfully the chest is fine. And Cherish, I guess.)

Where would I store my Stream Rubies? A River Bank!

So, what hurts a river?

Erosion, caused by topsoil that has been freed from the stabilizing roots of plant matter due to pollution!

Does pollution cost little? It's caused by factories because taking the alternative preventive measures would cost the company money! Ergo, pollution saves you money!

Thus, 'Water Pollution' is the thing that costs little and hurts the bank! Clearly, we must defile the waters found earlier in this level!

So the solution to the riddle is to pollute the water?
Yes.... That would cause the Water to become impure, halting the baptism Soul-ripping process, and stopping the PureRiver from severing our  subtle mindcontrol party link.

Question is....which bodily fluid would work best to pollute the river? Blood? Illborn Blood? Spit?
