I'd argue that inner-story cohesion of how such things work would probably be more of an important indicator than something out of story.

Take Ciro and Oric. Are the opposite, similar, or a mixture? If you really want this to be a homogenous thing, go off of that.

What white line? Cherish and Goom-bess see nothing. They do, however, see a large gap leading into the void.
