It's hard to tell tone over the Internet

It's... really not after you spend even a fraction of the time you've spent on the forums learn to do so.

You can't hear their voice, see their face, or really know much about them. And on Bay12, you can never tell if the suggestion to skin a cat and turn it into a hat is serious or not. Or both.

You can still infer a lot. Other people can do it pretty well, even on this very forum. It's mostly just you who has trouble with it all the time.

And I have enough trouble with people IRL, I can't imagine I'd be better online. Aside from being able to compose my thoughts better. Usually.

You can still infer a lot. Other people can do it pretty well, even on this very forum. It's mostly just you who has trouble with it all the time.

I'd rather argue 'some' instead of 'a lot,' as well as that it all depends and should be judged on a case by case basis with people, but this is just splitting hairs though.

Although inferring would have also been valid. I frequently will post something, and then think "oh god how are people going to interpret that?"

Sadly, I have not had any further thought on any of these mysteries. I despair of solving #3, unless there's a repeat of the incident (and really, the Yaos event seems like it should have provided enough clues to solve it, assuming the same root cause.) Hopefully our upcoming encounter with Cain will shed some light on #4 though.

Hang on, what plot twist? That Illborn Riltia was somewhat more gigantic than we had known? I mean, we already knew that, she wasn't exactly floating on nothing when we found her during the Oversoul segment. Or is it just that her Borgness with the Searchbots was more thorough than we had known?

We never saw Rilitia-searchbots before she turned or after turning her back. This seems to suggest that Riltia fused with something, which affected the searchbots. When one considers that we already knew something was up with them...
