((I'd just like to say for the record that I have NO idea what my powers do, or what my character will end up doing. I am honestly kind of terrified. The only thing we know is that I'm temporary, and will reawaken something if dumb luck wills it.))

Well, you could pray or intercept. Intercept sounds like you'd take the damage for someone, while praying does... Something. Heal maybe?

But what if it's making us overthink and really we SHOULD avoid the light patches but it's tricking us into seeing through deception that doesn't exist?
But what if it's trying to make us think that it wants us to over think? And what if it's trying to make us think that.....
It all depends on two things:

1. "It"s goals.
2. "It"s knowledge of us.
2a. How many "levels" "it" thinks we think on.

BM: You might as well use one of your skills, considering that they're really the only things you have. Maybe in a situation like this, someone should pray?

I already posted my action on the previous page. Whether anything comes of that, we'll see.

Me: Banishment the light trap on my side before floating up.
Intercept the lost soul energy as it scatters from Ciro. Release it to wake the shattered soul that brought me into being. Pray that this works.
Aw crap aw crap, we're going to die here aren't we?

Ciro: Move to the floor, shoot at Yaos core!

+1  I think RedWarrior is right about the hints telling us what we need to do to survive, rather than just being names for the attacks. My guess is that we're supposed to hang out below those light trap things, which are going to bathe everything above them in doom.

After more thought, I agree with this. Same as I suggested in my post, but hang out below the floor light thingies.

Each character can only make one major action per turn! Brawler Mouse goes with his first action and Intercepts.

Information regarding the nature of eighshing to sub. Dispatches remaininains locke

(Roll: 40) Scapheap attempts to Banish the floor trap near Ciro but is unsuccessful. (Attack: 17, 1+1) Ciro hides directly under the glow of the light trap and takes aim at the Core. A horrible shriek fills the arena. It doesn't seem like the battle's going to last a lot longer now.

Ciro manages to avoid any further damage by hiding under the light trap. Brawler Mouse and Scapheap - who did not move at all aside from floating up a little - take heavy wounds from a burst of energy filling most of the arena. Brawler Mouse fades back into the ether.

Blast away, Ciro, and save the Soul Charge for after the battle. We have a narrative to modify!

Woo! So uh... I'm just a bit confused. I thought that by grabbing the soul energy escaping Ciro, I'd sorta be near her? I guess I just should have been more specific. I feel like a total moron.
