Willborn implies that they have some ability to exert their will. Perhaps a Willborn is someone who lost all of their Soul Charge while in possession of their Soul Star? All the malice, but none of the blind attacking - they would retain their soul, albeit in a corrupted form, so they'd be more tactical with their attacking, unlike Illborn, who are driven by one desire/emotion and will blindly pursue it.

Ciro: Move down-right close to the ground to the right of the floor trap and make with the pew-pew-pew

Ciro: Explain what a Willborn is.
Better yet:

Anyone currently in the game: ASK FOR EXPOSITION ON WILLBORN. Please.

I suspect they're like anti-Illborn. Illborn are bodies with no soul, are Willborn souls with no body?

Hey, maybe this isn't a battle for Yaos' soul, but rather a battle for our body.

Yaos, you demented chandelier, you can't have our bod. We're still using it to seduce everything in the Warrens.

Not very successfully. Thank Freeform.

This kinda reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, where a person who loses there will to keep going on becomes a heartless, and the husk left behind becomes a nobody. Perhaps a not-dissimilar system?

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Definitely works. I was also thinking Kirby 64, but I was leaning towards Zero-Two. Then again, this fits much better.

This fight seems familiar...

Also got Ciro Reborn up to 882 Fountain Pence in mastahcheese's game there, so that's a new personal best. Do those other character slots unlock, or are they just placeholders until there are more characters?
