Hah! I actually suspected we could fuse Slog/Illborn in general with something else to make a new monster, since DWM:J was a thing. And I figured if FFS was going to let us fuse a DW creature, he'd use a different game's method, which left us with either SMT's Dark Cathedral or SMT-spinoff Persona's Velvet Room. (Or I suppose Jade Cocoon... Like that would ever happen. )

If we *do* fuse Slog to make something else, such as a Metal Slime, presumably we can pass down his skills and traits. That way everyone's happy! (Metal Slog is presumably just as adorblorble as regular Slog.)

Anyways, I suppose the party is separated again. That means we have party slots open! Let's get that ruby! A girl and her slime, exploring DL2! We'll need all the help we can get if we want to find those two again before Al starts hitting on Riltia, or at least before Riltia starts killing Al for hitting on her incessantly.

That's what the dark cathedral is? I really need to play some of the main series Shin Megami Tensei games.

This is why I wound up going through DQ:M Joker with a slime that was rank F+27 or some ridiculous number. I could never stand the thought of not having one of the cute little guys on my team. I don't want Slog to not be Slog!

Who are the Illborn
Illborn are those whose souls are ripped from their bodies and put into a condition so their bodies can be continuously used in the prison. Slog is an example of this.
"But tomio, why didn't Al and Wilford-guard-guy become Illborn? It did show that Al isn't an Illborn!"
"Yes, but Al circumvented this by jumping into the prison, body and all. Slog had his soul ripped from his body."
Illborn are those who are (re)born "Ill", AKA with their souls OUT of their bodies.
