I have no opinion on Slog eating or not eating the mushroom, though. The trouble with not being able to estimate enemy HP is that we have no idea how well we're doing, and thus how desperate we need to be.

A just and benevolent mod won't let our main duo die (and Slog survive and become the next main character), will he?

I'm fairly sure it isn't a machine. It's an electrical beast that just....formed. Although if you had a blender nearby, you could liquefy it and toss THAT on Polaris.

There's a very small chance of that, king slimes take like 8 slimes to form and aren't actually the same creature as normal slimes. Plus the mushroom is temporary, but...

Going by the Dragon Quest: Monsters series, regular slimes have the slimer skill set which grants heal immediately after frizz. We should see if we can find a seed of skill in the greens, it'd give enough skill points for Slog to learn heal.

EDIT: Actually, maybe we could use something else? We never checked to see if class slots in the inventory had menus, perhaps we can invest in them to learn class skills?
