Not that it's actually written anywhere that you die at exactly 0 hp, and in fact I'm pretty sure we've seen people take more than their current hp in damage.

In this case they pass through 0. However in lowering our MHP, we lose it all in one go, and can't theoretically recover it. if we focused it all into a single being, then if we died, we'd still have become a blood elemental.

Riltia buys a basic Shortsword with 20 Rubies. She gives you back the Ring of Sexiness you asked her to hold earlier to free up some space. You now have 10 Stream Rubies.

Fine, yes, we can cheese the quest for free money. Assuming it'll let us and the fountain doesn't run out or other such annoyances.

Also was the quest for spells specifically or do abilities count? Is there even a difference?

Also doubledamnit on that statue. Possibly tripledamnit because in theory we might have been able to get our reward before she was revived, not that anyone alive at the time knew about that.

Finally, Riltia woke up from New Riltia Form with a loveletter to Cherish. This raises all kinds of questions.


Stash love letter and spellbook, buy refresh potion from arena-side vendor (do not drink yet? the goombas only did 1 dmg at a time, meaning we might be able to finagle an extra HP out of saving it... if anyone else thinks it's worth the risk), drink from fountain until at max SP, do Lost Souls arena battle.

Yeah Riltia died in a way that was our fault. Seeing as she wouldn't have if she didn't come with us. Sorry about that by the way Riltia... But regardless, she died. And came back. Are you saying that she didn't die? Because by that logic, there is no resurrection, only "getting better" from death. We slew her, thank you very much, and she has no intention of slaying us. What happens to her after that death is none of your business. We happen to be her friend so we brought her back because the "slaying" was not what we wanted to happen! The fact that it did doesn't change at all. She died, just like you asked. You can't go back on your side of the deal.
