((We empowered the original Clot Cutter with 4 MSP during the Low Quality Update. That's why it glows and can do this. Savvy readers may notice that so far all ranged weapons have cost MSP and all melee weapons have cost MHP. It's just that no one tried to use a ranged attack with it until this part of the chapter.))

(Fireball: 18 vs 10, 4, 1) A fireball shoots out of the tip of your Fire Flower and blows straight through the Spike Goomba, ripping it to smoldering shreds. (Attack: 8 vs 10!) Riltia attempts to Goomba-stomp the Goomba, but she overshoots and soars past it. The Paragoomba rises into the air once again.





(Charge: 7-4 GUARD vs 10)Luckily, she makes a quick recovery and narrowly dodges the Goomba's dexterous charge.

(Punt: 15 vs 10, 3) Riltia uses her Dumb Fighter Strength to punt the plain Goomba straight into a block. It hits its head and suffers massive brain damage! Did it have a brain in the first place? No one knows with Goombas. (Fireball: 5) Meanwhile, you try to get in position and cast a fireball at the flying Goomba, but it just fizzes out.



(Dive: 12 vs 10, 4!) The remaining Paragoomba dives toward you and hits you straight on. You lose your grip on both the vine and the fireflower.
