Er...No. Not if someone's throwing them. Even at terminal velocity, it's only going to cause a bruise, at most. It won't 'slice through the air' like a bullet would. When falling, it acts a lot like a feather. Even, so it gets fairly fast. And I doubt anyone could get it to its terminal velocity just from throwing it. A Sling, however, may be a good idea.

Also, assuming that these stream rubies are actually rubies (corundum), they rank as a 9/10 on the mohs scale of mineral hardness. ((GM gives us money, we immediately use it as ammunition ))

Hardness only dictates a relative which-scratches-first. Though, if it is harder then the metal of the searchbot, I guess it could do some damage.

Somehow, throwing the large amount of money we just got at an enemy made of metal does not strike me as a good idea.
