reabsorb the red cross and see if we can use ranged blood spells. I don't think melee combat for a squishy mage built around using their own life is a smart tactic.
(maybe let us boil enemy blood? there could be Unborn gibs everywhere with a spell like that.)

I don't know, melee may work, maybe if we could make the blood from injuries into blood armor? It'd be stronger based on how much life we had left and our current max or something? getting stronger armor as you weaken would be pretty neat. Plus I have an alliterative name for the ability if the GM approves. Sanguinary Sheilding
