TIMEFRAME

Updates won't begin again until Friday at the earliest due to work and school. Apart from irl issues there are a couple  things I'm going to do in advance that are taking extra time.

-Al and Riltia get new portrait sets and sprites.
-Dl4 is generally more visually and gamemechanically intense than previous levels, so assets are taking extra time to draw and plan. Dl4's boss needs a portrait set (I did the initial concept art a while ago).

Also still sick. It'll be worth the wait!

Does that include a puppet? Yeah, we only get puppets for party members (I think) but I'm pretty sure some of these guys intend to collect the entire Sibling set. Puppet Cain's going to have to be really horrific.

It just sort of occurred to me (that, and I want to stir up some conversation and possibly theorycrafting), that tip #054?

Did not say "Soul" in it. So it may be possible to find a star that is NOT a soul star, for example. Such as... hmm.... a "chi star" or a "celestial star". Maybe.

Who thinks these theoretical other stars may be more powerful than a soul star?

Waaaaaaaiiit a second. Thinking about soul stars and theory crafting... The Hard Hats arena. Did our universe bleed-over consider the mets to be illborn or not? Same for Megaman. Could this be related?
Ooh! Or maybe it had to do with Megaman joining our secondary (or whatever it's called) party, like Yaos did (as in, we couldn't control him). Our party, and it's status, is related to our soul, as demonstrated when we dived into the water. Megaman probably has a soul, but it isn't separated from his body the way the Warrens does whenever someone enters; A soul with no soul star, no soul charge, but isn't an illborn. So when his soul mingled with ours when he joined our party (temporarily), there were unforeseen repercussions. Hence, Ciro, as party leader, had her soul bent out of shape trying to compensate for Megaman's weird starless soul; therefor, internal bleeding.

Speaking of rolls, #5 tip came up, and reminded us that ally-targeting doesn't require rolling (which is why the field isn't slapping us.)
