I had this idea last night and just remembered it. It started when I considered that Cherish of TwOoTA has the same, rather uncommon name as a member of the Slaughterhouse Nine from Worm. Of course, the similarities end there, right? It's not like she's the least combat-oriented member of the group, shown to be more than she appears, whose unusually-powered and promiscuous father figure was a defining if often absent figure in her life, right? No, of course not. Which was I talking about again?

Other similarities between characters:
As hinted at, Al is a bit like a less competent, more lazy version of Heartbreaker.
Oric, being the most powerful being in the Warrens and carefully orchestrating everything so him plan works out, is the head of a certain organization which readers of Worm will know what I mean.
Proxxy is obviously a Tinker, and as head Tinker and lacking a real specialization she's probably Dragon.
Slog...hm, a malleable being beloved by the cast, naive and such...Weld, perhaps? Of course, Weld is actually intelligent, whereas Slog is a slime-brain.
I had other comparisons, but only those come to mind.
