The one thing that annoys me is that there is too much munchkining and not enough crazy. Are you men or dwarves?

It's crazy enough it just might work. Or horribly screw us over.
Either way, +1.

This is a terrible idea, but I'm torn between downvoting it due to its terribleness and watching it as one watches a trainwreck.

I'd just like to note that FFS has strongly implied that would cause our perspective to switch to that of our target.

I don't remember this, issue forth proof or we proceed with the plan.

he only said it would be gamechanging
like here:
Hold the orb in your hand and smash it into his chest

You feel this would be an unbelievably game-changing action. Are you sure you wish to proceed with it?

EDIT: OMIGOSH WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN BETWEENFORD AS A CHARACTER

((Glad we didn't. I think coming up with a sinister rhyme every post would have given me an aneurysm.))

Also, I would rather be a Magelord than a BloodMage. Seems more useful.

I'd just like to note that FFS has strongly implied that would cause our perspective to switch to that of our target.

Only if it is a valid target for a perspective switch (i.e target has Soul Charge.) I consider the most likely outcome of this action to be us bopping Chink with our Soul Star, nothing happening, and Chink then attempting to blow us up again (he doesn't have a high success rate with the antimagic field, but if we faff about long enough he'll land a hit eventually.) Which will suck since our healing options are harshly limited on this floor, but hey, shenanigans are the second leading cause of death for Warrens characters, behind Searchbots.

Might be worthwhile to check the Influx beforehand, to see if Chink has an icon in there.

Technically we are Chink. I would say our only problem would be Chink's possible incorporeality

Au contraire! Chink is us, but we are not Chink. We are (probably) an amalgamation of past lives, of which Chink is but one of many. We do not know if Chink is fully splintered away from us, or if killing him will harm us in any way, or whether he was just now pulled away from us or if he was a soul splinter caught in some past cycle only now released by the Soul Trap. We don't appear to have lost any significant Soul Charge, so it is unlikely that Chink took enough with him to make the Astral Influx recognize him as a valid target.
