As a Floridian, which is the deepest south, I take offense to that sir! You forgot to mention about the beer!

Betweenford has called himself many things, including himself as the watcher of the watch. This seems to have little to no meaning at all, unless you were to carefully take into play the Prologue story, which still exists. He tells the Unknown character that he is to be the new Warden of the Oversoul, and he will be the one to guide and walk him through the process. Which gives him the rightful title of "Watcher of the Watch", as he outranks even the Warden of the Oversoul.

This seems to indicate there are levels of Hierarchy even beyond what Oric controls, and even he may lose his time as Owner; even said by the Morse cord that has bee decoded much earlier; and how Oric's last cycle has come.

Betweenford's brothers have ample evidence to indicate they are going against the standard cycle rules. As referenced by FFS, the design for the person who revived Rilitia was used partially for Spira, who seems to be a Sibling of Betweenford. Although at first  in the revival !!!! seems to be reprimanding ? for not knowing how to do things properly, like Betweenford in the Prologue; and handling the souls of siblings might just come with the Job of Oversoul.

As the Warrens have also been referenced as a prison for magical psychos multiple times, it is surprising tha it must contain several different Wardens, each who control different important parts of everything.





Basically the entire point of this tangent is to say that FFS is a clever mastermind, Betweenford and/or his brothers are doing conspiracies, and BetweenFord might have been there with Spira, who could be the chracater in the Prologue.

Did you know? You designed Ciro from scratch.

At the start of Warrens: Ciro was essentially a blank "template" character. He had no personality to speak of beyond desiring loot and adventure. On top of that, he could not speak.
After meeting Riltia: The suggestions veered in two directions. Part of them had to do with interactions with Riltia, but the other part had to do with the thirst for loot and adventure, strengthening Ciro's initial goal. These were the two sole components of his otherwise still-bland personality.
During Underside, before death: the suggestions got far more clever. Not only was there an increased interest in elaborate, hilarious, game-mechanic-abusing plans, but there was enough vested interest in the game that the suggesters started arguing over plans and people and what to do or not do. Ciro integrated these things into his personality, giving him the sarcastic/snarky/argumentative bent when he started talking to Al.
After revival in Nepotism: Given everything we'd seen so far, the overwhelming majority of suggestions were always some combination of murderous/sociopathic behavior, snarky arguments and hilarious shenanigans. When Ciro finally regained coherency in her speech, these things were practically all she thought about. Her reaction to the puzzle, love of breaking the game mechanics and tendency to either flirt with, snark at or threaten anyone she met was a conglomeration of the slowly-building hive mind of Warrens readers' reactions.

Riltia was similar, evolving a personality as Ciro did. However, intentionally or not, she has always been, to some degree, a foil to Ciro's character. Riltia is always presenting a separate viewpoint and taking the adventure carefully and seriously (instead of headfirst and full of crazy shenanigans). Other than this, though, she's pretty quiet (which is why she's up there with my least favorite characters in the story).

For Al's Story, my intention from the beginning was clear: give the players an established character to guide left or right instead of outright shape. This was perhaps poor form, as Al had far more of a personality than either of the main characters, and he basically consumed the adventure in terms of popularity (either good or bad) for a long time after. The only choices the players had with his personality were his moral center. Throwing Wilford in the acid sent him down what you could say was the "dark path," but whether this will have further repercussions remains to be seen.

Three problems with that theory.
1. Someone pointed out that the...one interactive prologue thing had something important with the name "angel.something"
2. There are far, far more common affectations. Like "hon," "darling," "sweetie."
3. That's pretty dull.
