Where did this silly notion that Illborn can't have soulbound items come from? We've never seen any evidence of this. In fact, we've seen nothing but evidence to the contrary.

Even if spirits can't have them (which we certainly don't know), that means nothing. An Illborn is a living creature with its soul drained dry. A spirit is nothing but the last vestiges of a soul. They can hardly be classified together.

Slog has 7 SP. With the pendant active, he has 2 SP. If keeping it active/using powers consumes SP, it'll be practically useless on Slog. Let's not give it to Slog.

I'd say knowing the GM, odds are 50 or better that it's simply a gag item that permanently consumes an inventory slot in exchange for amusing cosmetics. In which case, we probably don't want one of our powerful characters using it.

Nah, given what we had to do to get it, I'm pretty sure it's a legit item.

-1 to Slog (or Al) using it.

Just, hypotheticall, if you were to successfully duplicate a soulbound item out of your own blood, and that blood then bound to someone else's soul... Implications? What if you then reabsorbed that blood?

Wait, what does the Pendant even DO? Statwise, OI mean?

Well, it removes 5 MSP on activation that you get back on deactivation. But otherwise, we don't know; it allows for a "Magical girl form", but we don't know what that will do.

I thought the whole point of becoming a magical girl was to empower some poor pathetic mortal incapable of becoming a mage on their own. It'd be weird to make a magical girl transformation item that only powerful wizards could use competently. I'd expect either a max SP boost in the new form, (although that would make the max SP reduction of the item kind of weird...) or that the new form gets a bunch of free or low-cost abilities.

That said, I guess it couldn't hurt to give it to a mage. Magical girl tradition would dictate that the pendant go to a little girl, which pretty much leaves us with Cherish, who could use some offense anyways.

That said, bucking tradition is a time-honored tradition for this forum. And if we fuse a Shoujo-ized Illborn in the Cathedral, we might end up making something really crazy.

...

Capture a wisp and give it the pendant.

I'm for Cherish getting the pendant. Cherish is apparently VIKING, IIRC. The only thing better then a magical girl is a VIKING magical girl. :P I will Spirit Duel anyone who argues against this point.
