Well, it doesn't take SP or HP either. Self-Destruct could be a  concern, but it allows us to do all sorts of insane things -- such as cast Pillar of Triumph -- at the cost of only a turn. Not exactly something we should use as a first resort, but not exactly terrible either.

Also, Ripriver is still in the picture.

Well, no, obviously it's going to be a once per battle thing, and won't be cast every fight; in fact we should probably avoid casting it during most (Standing around outside of combat would probably result in FFS sending a horde of searchbots lead by Oric after us). But it's still a powerful and cheap attack for the fights that do justify it.

Anyways, we need some actions here. If we head east, we could probably use magnet heel/windirection to get everybody up to the second floor, but at the cost of quite a bit of SP. Do we take the quick route and use the SP, or do we try to find the proper stairs?

Now that we know Bro Attack's are one-way, I wonder if we can set up Bro Chains. Goombess -> Ciro -> Slog, for instance. (I know I know Ciro -> Riltia is probably more useful but we have more hearts toward Slog.)


Anyway, I say we look for the proper stairs. East x2!

Boost Ciro -> Riltia. Shrink Ciro -> Slog.

Proxxy still may turn out to be an enemy we can't pacify, and it isn't as though Slog is sentient anyways. Lowering Slog -> Proxxy still leaves him at a lovably slog-ish high heart with her, but will allow us to dispose of the decidedly negative effect of shrinking a shipping grid heart. Of course, this is all assuming that we can't target characters not on our grid, in which case, Goombess -> Oric may be a better option for shrinking, since having one of our party members enamored with a Big Bad who can and will use that against us doesn't seem like a good idea at all.


For an alternative to boosting Ciro -> Riltia, we could increase Slog -> Anyone, which would result in a perfect heart. I would prefer we do this with Slog -> Ciro, since it may allow us to get the fabled Slogduken.
