Riltia: Rip pad out of floor: +NAV, +NAV,
Trololololo. Still didn't work.

Pick up the scroll and read it. Hope it isn't a scroll of stupid like last time.

Nah, I was there. I can confirm that from the context he did not sound like he was trolling at all.

The first seven and a half times I read that it looked like "is it possible that someone is losing their arms" which threw me off because it looked like FFS was saying it was possible that someone was losing arms

Anyway I just read this whole thread from start to finish in the course of 5 days and I just want to say congrats for getting this far.

Spirit class: living shadow

Anyway I say -1 to the fan.

With the scroll I see 2 possibilities:

1)The scroll was given to us with good intentions and it actually will give us ultimate power.

2) same as above but not ultra power but instead small permanent benefit

2b) temporary benefit

3) Actually a bad thing permanent debuff

3b) bad one time effect (take # points of damage, teleports you away from everyone, loss of inventory item etc.)

3c) bad temporary debuff (remember the scroll of stupidity?)

4) Gives us a new quest somehow.

What do you guys think?

EDIT:Ask ECCO where she got the scroll of ultimate power from and ask why she didn't use it on herself.

Lets use the ancient naval art of training war parrots. No one will realize they have been boarded by space war parrots until it is to late!
You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

Does Oric already know about it? If so, then why hasn't they used it? Trick Oric into reading it?

Right x2, pick up fan, left x2: +RanDomino, +EP, +Furtuka (3)
Riltia and Al: Poke the scroll experimentally: +Arcvasti, +flameboy99 (2)
Ciro: Read the scroll: +flabort, +NAV (2)
Topple speakers: +EP, +Cerol (2)
Get scroll: +EP, +monk12 (2)

Goom-bess cannot tattle on items! You'd need an Identify scroll or a Knowledge check of twenty to get that information. Riltia and Al test the scroll to make sure it isn't explosive.

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSHHH

OH DEAR LORD IT'S A PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS ROBOT.

Ecco gives you a head start. You dash to the next room. Riltia tries to jam the fan with her Very Big Spear. However, just when she prepares to grab the fan from the floor with DUMB FIGHTER STRENGTH...

(Roll: 1! Critical failure!) ...her spear breaks apart! One of the spear bits hits her in the face for an insultingly low ONE DAMAGE! After a brief, horrible grinding sound, the fan begins running again.

Riltia: Use DUMB FIGHTER STRENGTH to rip fan off hinges.
Whoever has inventory space: pick up spear fragments.

Darn. If we had Proxxy, we might be able to mess with the robot somehow; we'd have effective damage, at the very least.

Also, we can probably use Locking Glass to freeze it in place, should we need some extra time. I think we need to roll when we use it on an enemy, though?

By the way, we still don't know whether Al's block or Cherish's auto-heal has priority, or how Al prioritizes his blocks. Worst-case scenario, Al could ignore Ciro and defend Cherish, who would heal anyway. Also, we really shouldn't rely on Cherish's heal, since she most likely dies if the amount healed isn't enough.

I'm glad we took the time to heal up before tripping the obvious trap.
