+1 Illborn Exchange Goombess. More specifically, Ciro grabs Illborn Exchange and snags Goombess, Al casts Bulwarks. Al has that autodefend mask, so we might be able to survive a hit if he targets a main character in the absence of Illborn. Cherish is our PoV character, so I suppose she could try diplomacy if that's the route we choose.

The other option I'd favor is fleeing. Oric is like a carny; the only way to beat the con is not to play the game.

See, Oric doesn't want to kill us. He certainly doesn't want to kill Ciro or Riltia, at least; he wants us to betray Riltia.

So, it's time for plan OH NO MURDER:
