I'm all for stupid, but let's try to restrain ourselves to the subset of stupid that won't invoke the insanity penalty.

Not only is it used to keep us from grinding, or rerolling until 20s, but it's FFS's way of telling us we're objectively morons, and should stop trying to do something that we have repeatedly been explicitly told is impossible. Not "you need to roll a 58," but "no way, no how, now stop wasting everyone's time."
