Slog: Relax after soothing massage delivered via Cherish's hat.

Ciro: Stop standing on Al's head. Make sure cape is still tied up properly.

See if we can't set it up so that we use the astral influx to check up on missing party members, with Ciro waiting a couple minutes before switching to the next one and then back to herself.

This sounds like a really bad idea that could go wrong in so many ways, but you are willing to try it.

Quote from: Steam
Dermonster: I will admit I'm not sure how it can go wrong. If ciro can manipulate it without us actually controlling her, then it's just collapsing proxxy and Riltia's quantum status. If she can't then we're all boned oh yeah.
Free F. Schooler: well for one there's the whole thing of we don't know what happens to ciro when she's not controlled
Free F. Schooler: she's always been off screen
Dermonster: We do know what happens to Al though, kinda. We can announce our plans and ask him to help
Dermonster: in case of crazy
Free F. Schooler: plus there's other variables that we don't know
Free F. Schooler: like how close the current narrativeperson has to be to the influx to be "in range"
Dermonster: well if it doesn't switch, then it doesn't switch
Dermonster: no loss there.
Free F. Schooler: no, the current narrativeperson
Free F. Schooler: ie, can we still get back after being riltia
Dermonster: well unless they change location it should be okay
Free F. Schooler: theyre not here so theyd be changing location
Dermonster: if riltia is on a minecart going into the sky then yeah thats a problem
Free F. Schooler: it is highly implied riltia is dead, dying, or on dl8

I still think it's worth trying. With the aforementioned help from Al. What do you guys think?

-1 to switching to characters who can't reach the influx, elaborate system or no elaborate system.
They have soul charge, so they're probably revivable, at least.
Gain a newfound respect for Ripriver.
+1. That only used up one FURY, I'd really advise not being in the same room if he fills his meter up to 5.

Grab charred Valkyrie remains, they can probably be used as reagents.
Then, head East.

EDIT - -1 to switching POV full stop.

Riltia isn't dead because her square isn't blacked out.
She could still be dying though.
Be Al, nothing wrong with being one of our current party members. Besides, earlier, by FFS including Ciro on being able to be left behind in the Underside, it implies Ciro doesn't become Comatose after switching.

ridiculously monstrous mouths.

?
That's only mildly creepy.
Still fits the story...if she were about a thousand times taller.

Just in time, Ripriver finishes his ritual.

(FURIOUS TURBULENCE: 9+2 Position, 6+1-1DR, 5+1-1DR, 3+1-1DR)

The Valkyrie is destroyed! That was a little overkill, but whatever.
...
Congratulate and thank Ripriver. Wish that Fury was easier to come by.

+1. Briefly.

Too bad Slog isn't on the Astral Influx.

Hmm...

Check Slog's Rubric Registrar, does it contain either Knight or Reborn, or anything else?
Can't hurt to check.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Ask how long it takes the staff to recharge its internal SP, and if such rituals can do other things.
