Samus VS Master Chief All the Spartans, because quite frankly Samus is so powerful she needs a spehss handbag to store the skulls of the enemies she's personally decapitated. Without even raising a finger.
... y'all haven't seen th'CG animation of that? Because there was one, a while back. Checking up on it, fellow named Monty Oum did it.

Personally, I like the end results, but I don't know if it jives with Halo canon anymore. Has any of the latest stuff shown what's under the helmet?
What, Haloid? That was crap. I mean, it was pretty impressive for being done by one guy, but I don't think you could call any of it anything approaching canon. My favorite part was how Chief got pummeled for several minutes by Samus without any injury, only to have Samus' power suit fall off from one hit.

I'm calling plausible. A human with a power sword is a human with a power sword. Considering how MC is on a basic level an incredibly well trained human with plenty of combat experience, it is entirely within his capabilities of taking down a space marine when armed with a plasma sword. Also considering the space marine was armed with a power fist and chainsword (no bolter!), in that particular fight MC would have been faster and be able to get close - within the marine's guard and promptly stab his face.

Meh...never found the SoaSE mythos terribly engaging. Or even fleshed out much. Corporate humans, psychic transhumans, and aliens. End of story.

More directly, it was an Angry Marine. He would have charged straight at MC screaming obscenities, power wrench held high.

What if the Space Pirates discovered a Stargate? And figured out how it works?

Let's assume they got thrown into the past first.

This. In 'Alpharius' (IIRC) an enhanced human soldier from a regiment known as the Lucifer Blacks fights the Primarch Alpharius in one on one combat with a NORMAL sword versus a POWER sword (A PRIMARCH's power sword, mind you, so probably artifact quality weapon here) and fought him to a standstill. The fight ended because the Lucifer Black stabbed Alpharius through the side seam of his breastplate, piercing (one of) his hearts. Alpharius then laughed at him, broke the sword off, and cut the man in half.
Primarchs are often touted as 'To a Space Marine what a Space Marine is to a man'. I imagine that, if a somewhat enhanced human (like MC would be) can fight a Primarch and only lose because he didn't have a power sword, then an enhanced human with a plasma sword could probably kill the fuck out of a marine. Just depends on whether or not the marine had a ranged weapon and forewarning.

Excellent. And so, we arrive at the point of this little exercise:

He wasn't angry enough.

The other point, incidentally, is that human beings tend to skim over details when they aren't paying minute attention to them. The final point is that I spend too much time on 1d4chan and the tg archives. Enough, at least, for yellow armor to be subconsciously matched to a different, better chapter.  :P
