Speaking of FFN, I've seen a couple of 40k/Nanoha crossovers there. None of them seem to be finished though.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

There's one that's actually decently lengthy... and from what I remember of reading it, decently written. Didn't get around to finishing it, though, and yeah, it's not complete.

I think there's a few on spacebattles that never got ported over to FFN, as well. Probably others, who knows...

Quite possible, now that Disney owns the rights to Star Wars!

What about this, since the Imperium is by all rights near the top of the dogpile of 40k. What about the Thing vs Orks?

Orks, if possible, are even more pyromaniacal than the non-SoB factions of the Imperium. And considering how robust Ork physiology is, I'm not sure the Thing could even affect them. Still, it's an interesting possibility...

The best (IMO) was the one where an Ork ship and a ship full of Kriegsmen crashed into each other, caused a plot device, and landed on Mid. I really loved the sequences where Subaru was getting into fistfights with Orks inside an unstable power plant. Sadly it hardly n/ever updates.

Oh, and there was also Big Sister, penned by Spacebattles' Academia Nut. It can essentially be summarized as "Injured Nanoha (IIRC the post-A's disaster) is transported to a certain fiery deathworld, encounters and saves baby Vulkan, and the two grow up together, eventually fighting off Dark Eldar attacks. Nanoha disappears into the Warp just before Empie arrives, story TBC."

Yes, Nanoha is a adoptive big sister to THAT Vulkan.

Why are there no Inception Matrix crossovers?

Think about it! A dream inside a dream except that it was all just the matrix except was the awakening a dream, maybe the matrix was just limbo and you've been in the battery world this entire time but what if that is an idea planted inside your head?!

And if the Thing managed to get a significant force of Orks going, everything would be screwed.
They might even welcome it. Picture this: Just after a battle, warboss suddenly grows acid spitting claws on it's fingers and promptly tells every other ork that Gork and Mork gave him them and they're lucky he's generous enough to give the rest of them claws, too. Cue Thingified Orks.

If this includes singular fights, a Mass Effect Reaper VS Godzilla.

Sandworm vs Reaper? Sandworm wins. It's a lot like a thresher maw, and we all know that thresher maws can take on a reaper destroyer single handedly.

If we're going for 1v1 fights, I'd like to see a showdown between Nyarlathotep and Tzeentch.

My real question there regards whether the Thing would inherit their latent Orky pskyer talents. Would coloring itself red make it go fasta'? Would it be able to assimilate things other than biomass simply by believing that it could?

Reaper. The things are several kilometers long, can fly and fight in space, and let's not forget the indoctrination thing. Good lord, imagine an indoctrinated Godzilla.

Dear god. Given sufficient biomass, it could literally become a god.
